TOPIC: Can/can’t - Ability

AIMS OF THE LESSON:


 assimilate new grammatical rules
 help students improve their grammar using different types of
exercises
 improve pupils’ pronunciation and their ability of speaking in
English freely

OBJECTIVES:
A. Cognitive objectives:
 to check and improve vocabulary;
 to encourage students to talk freely;
 to help students talk about abilities;
 to give students more practice on pronunciation, vocabulary and the
structures previously taught.

B. Affective objectives:
 making students confident in their ability to use the language;
 creating interest in the topic of the lesson;
 creating a relaxed atmosphere, proper for studying;
 foster learner independence and cooperative learning;
 stimulating students’ imagination and creativity;
 having fun.

STAGE ACTIVITIES TIMING

Teacher greets the pupils and asks them how they
