and interests.
Go to www.careerinsite.alberta.caand create your personal account.
Part 2
Go to the know yourself section and take ALL the self-assessment quizzes. It is
important to do all the quizzes to get a full picture of your interests and a more
accurate assessment of your interests.
Answer all the questions to the best of your ability giving thought to your own
personal values and ideas.
When you have completed all the tests you will be able to go to the my career plan
section and see what occupations have been recommended for you. You can click

Job Description: A police detective is a law enforcement official who
investigates serious crimes and the murder scene of a citizen. They help gather
evidences, witnesses, potential suspects and then attempts to create a case that
can be prosecuted by a district attorneys office. Police detectives do engage in field
work, which is mostly investigating in the crime scene. When major crime cases are
reported, police detectives are to gather evidences and information and hand it
over to the forensic investigators while they continue to gather witnesses, potential
suspects and the murderers motive

young Ive felt like this is what truly got to me. Also, I have a lot of people around
me who are part of the RCMP so some of the influences come from them.

job openings for police officers will increase between 7 and 13% between 2008 and
2018.

movies and dramas and they inform it for the audience to see and feel what theyre
trying to express.

think I am very skilled in art and love to express myself with acting and every time I
watch a new drama or a movie the actors and actresses playing the role of different
character inspire me to try becoming like an actress that people love to watch.

needed and no education are required some take acting classes and extra training
to audition for new agencies but no education is mandatory.

schedule will be chaotic.

also some will retire due to public or personal reasons.

Job Description: a hair dresser has to be skilled with their hands and they
have the responsibility to maintain the hair and style of the customers
appearances. You will need a lot of practice because it will be a onetime shot.

job keeping them occupied.
10. Disadvantages of Occupation: its a onetime chance so if you cut it wrong or
not the way the customers will want then they will leave a bad reputation on you
and your store and you may lose some customers.

have been very skilled when it comes to handling things with my hands so people
have told me being a hair dresser would be a nice choice of option. Also my mother
is a hair dresser herself so ever since I was little Ive learnt and saw lots of what she
has done and given to the customers.
12. What courses and grades are needed to enter this Occupation? You will need
a certificate in cosmetology. You may drop out of high school, graduate high school,
go to training academy, get a degree in criminology but as long as you have that
certificate you can become a hair dresser.

Working conditions: you may have to deal with a lot of picky customers and
sometimes rude customers. In the end you will have to put up with and give it your
best shot.

hair dresser and ever since I was little she would take me to her shop and I would
always be there helping her with her customers when I wasnt really even helping
that much but I remember Ive had a lot of fun and I think with the experiences I
have and some help with my mom hair dresser isnt really bad of an option. In fact I
actually love styling and cutting other peoples hair.

because more and more people who are interested in cosmetics will start advancing
and putting up their own stores. So it will be more of a competition and definitely a
