16 Fitness Gifts For the Gym Lover in Your Life
During gifting season, it can be a relief to have a friend or loved one with a clear passion, like fitness and wellness. Thinking up gifts for gym girls or gifts for women who work out specifically is way easier than trying to brainstorm ideas with no parameters in place. And selfishly, we here at PS love to brainstorm gifts for gym lovers because we also have a passion for fitness and wellness. Plus, we get to try out so many fitness and wellness products, sometimes even before they're available in stores. So when we're deciding on a fitness gift for the sporty women in our lives, all we have to do is think about the fitness products we've been using and loving recently — and voila, we have a list of fitness gifts for the active women we know and love, that we know they'll love.
In the spirit of generosity during the holiday season, we're sharing our best ideas for gifts for gym lovers. This shopping list contains all the fitness and wellness products we're thinking of buying for the gym girlies in our lives. It includes workout clothes, workout gear, loungewear for recovery days, and more. We guarantee you'll find the perfect gift for the active, sporty woman in your life among this brain dump — and maybe one or two things for yourself, too.
A Just-Right Water Bottle
Owala FreeSip Water Bottle ($28)
The water bottle market is confusing, and I'm personally still reeling from the rise and fall (I said it) of the Stanley tumbler. I suspect many people feel the same way, and are hesitant to pull the trigger on a new water bottle because they're still waiting to know for sure what the next big thing is going to be. But I'm calling it: it's the Owala FreeSip. It's always been the Owala FreeSip. This is the perfect bottle, as evidenced by the fact that all the fitness-obsessives at PS have one (or three). I'll let this review speak for itself.
On-Trend Wrist and Ankle Weights
PS Wrist and Ankle Weights ($30)
FitTok has discovered wrist and ankle weights again, with creators wearing the bracelets while doing their hair or makeup to sneak in a little burn. (Something one of our PS editors tried herself; see the results here.) This PS pair comes in a cute lilac, and will make your fit friend feel perfectly on trend.
A Bestselling Belt Bag
Lululemon Everywhere Belt Bag ($38)
This beloved Lululemon belt bag has sold out time and time again, for one reason only: it's just that good. It's the perfect size for stashing your keys, wallet, and phone, so you can head out on a hot-girl walk, to the gym or a class, or on a hike with all your essentials. It goes without saying that it's a great gift — and if they already have one, get them a fuzzy fleece version, the mini, or one of the many other colors. To learn more, read our full editor's review of the Lululemon Everywhere Belt Bag.
A Matching Pickleball Paddle Set
Aluci Pickleball Paddles ($50)
If the gym lover in your life is your lover, or your bestie, we love the idea of giving them a set of pickleball paddles for you two to use together. This set is aesthetic and high-quality, but check out other options for pickleball paddles here, or other pickleball-related gifts here.
A Stress-Busting Tincture Trio
Apothekary Free Spirit Mini Set ($69)
This set contains three tinctures — Wine Down, Take the Edge Off, and Rose-Tinted Glasses — all of which are intended to help relieve stress. They're perfect for your sober curious friend: the chill Wine Down and Take the Edge Off can replace a nightly glass of wine, while Rose-Tinted Glasses (which is more about supporting mental clarity) can be great to add to a mocktail while out with friends.
Worth noting: at PS, we're generally a little wary of supplements. And to be sure, many of the ingredients in Apothekary's Free Spirit Mini Set need more research before anyone can say for sure how effective they are. But we love the brand, and that this set comes with a little gold spoon that you can use to stir the tinctures into a glass of sparkling water or fruit juice as you create the perfect mocktail. Those little rituals can really make a routine feel more luxurious.
A Taylor Swift-Approved Matching Set
Popflex Corset Bra ($44) and Pirouette Skort ($60)
If your friend's fandoms converge over Taylor Swift and athleisure, she needs this Popflex set. TS famously wore the Pirouette Skort during Eras tour rehearsals, and it popped up again in the music video for "I Can Do It With a Broken Heart." But I'll level with you: even if your sporty friend is not a TS fan (I've heard these people exist), she will love this set. It sold out not only because of the Swift effect, but also because it's so, so cute, and a breath of fresh air in an athleisure market that's saturated with black leggings. Read about our editor's experience wearing the viral skirt here.
A Buttery-Soft Legging
Lululemon Align Pant ($98-$118)
The Align legging is the buttery-soft yoga pant of any active person's dreams. As one of Lululemon's bestsellers, these leggings have a loyal fan club for being cozy and comfortable enough to wear all day. They're also great for yoga, Pilates, and other low-impact activities — or for taking your dog on a walk, cooking, or hanging out at home. Once you (or your giftee) try them, you'll never want to wear anything else. You can read our review of the Lululemon Align Pant.
A Next-Level Sleep Mask
Therabody SleepMask ($99)
This sleep mask is comfortable on its own, but it also vibrates to help you drift off to sleep faster and sleep more soundly. Read PS editors' full review here.
Too-Cute Inline Skates
Impala Lightspeed Inline Skate ($113-$141)
Believe us when we say that inline skating is about to be back in a big way. Help your fit friend get ahead of the trend with a pair of inline skates. This is a perfect beginner set, with a durable outer boot, a super comfy inner liner, and colorways that are just too cute to pass up. And yes, this is the same brand that made the famous Barbie skates.
A High-Quality Yoga Mat
Alo Yoga Warrior Mat ($89, originally $128)
There's nothing worse than feeling unsteady or slippy in your yoga practice or workout session. A high-quality yoga mat is for keeping your palms planted in Downward Dog or cushioning your tailbone during crunches — and makes a great gift for all people who work out. This Alo mat is a really sturdy option, comes in six sleek colors, and even gets a PS director's stamp of approval. To learn more, read our editor's review of the Alo Warrior Mat. (Spoiler: it's the only one she's used for five years!)
A Much-Hyped Basketball Shoe
Nike Sabrina 2 ($130)
If your friend has been riding the WNBA wave with the rest of us this year, she'll love the Sabrina 2s, Sabrina Ionescu's latest Nike releases. There are five colorways, but we're partial to the black, grey, and metallic "Mirrored" version. For more details about this hyped shoe, which is always selling out, check out our editor's review.
A Perfect All-the-Time Sneaker
On Running Cloud X 3 AD ($150)
On sneakers are the new status symbol sneakers among people who love fitness. You'll see gym lovers wearing them with their athleisure fits on the way to and from the gym, but equally as often people wear them with regular outfits or even work clothes on days they need to be on their feet. This model is super versatile, working well for training, short runs, or lifestyle wear. Check out an overview of other popular On styles here.
A High-Tech Massage Gun
Therabody Theragun Relief Massage Gun ($150)
What's a better gift than a massage? A tool you can use for massages indefinitely. This brand-new Theragun is the brand's most affordable massage gun yet and still offers powerful pain and tension relief. It's a great splurgy gift for someone who spends tons of time training hard, on their feet, or hunched over a desk, and who deserves a little TLC. We also love the upgraded Sense and Prime Plus versions.
A Complete Workout Kit
Pvolve Signature Bundle ($200)
This equipment bundle comes with some key pieces that'll help you or your giftee kickstart a new at-home workout regimen — Jennifer Aniston's favorite workout regimen, that is. It comes with the P.ball, P.band, and precision mat, plus access to Pvolve's streaming platform for one month free. If you want to start smaller, you can also buy single pieces of equipment from Pvolve on Amazon — may we recommend their one-of-a-kind P.3 Trainer or Ankle Band? And if you want to learn more about the workouts, read our editor review of the Pvovle workout method.
A Well-Rounded Wellness Tracker
Whoop 4.0 Membership and Band ($199-$239)
If I had to pick one fitness tracker to gift a friend, it would be the Whoop. I think it's the one that's best-suited to most people, since it doesn't have a screen (so it doesn't have to displace whatever watch your friend currently has and loves) and delivers a truly comprehensive health snapshot: strain, sleep, recovery, heart rate variability, and more.
An "It Girl" Sweat Set
Alo Yoga Accolade Crew Neck Pullover ($120) and Accolade Straight Leg Sweatpant ($128)
"A sweat set?" you may be asking yourself. Trust: a sweat set. This is the It Girl sweat set of 2024/25. It fits perfectly, and nails all those little details you're looking for in your next set: the straight leg without cinching on the bottom, the thick waistband, the drop shoulder sleeve, the insanely soft interior. Plus, the metallic Alo Yoga logo is so cute.
