Portabella is a cutting-edge packet-level load-balancing 4G LTE, 5G router that bonds multiple cellular Internet access lines for aggregated downlink and uplink capacity. When peered over the Internet with a Mushroom Relay at your headquarters or data center, Portabella seamlessly bonds all types of traffic, including encrypted VPN connections, delivering unparalleled bandwidth. Alternatively, the optional Broadband Bonding Service hosted by us enables downlink/uplink bonding for even greater throughput.
Seamless Live Video Streaming
Portabella’s free Streamer tunnel add-on optimizes live video streaming from the field to any CDN or video server over the bonded 4G LTE, 5G modems. This video-optimized bonding tunnel shields live video streaming applications from network issues like packet loss, latency, jitter, or even full modem disconnects, ensuring uninterrupted, glitch-free streaming even in the most challenging conditions.
Rugged and Versatile Design
Some Portabella models feature embedded modems with high temperature and vibration tolerances, including train certifications, for robust performance in demanding environments. Other models support external USB-based modem ports, offering flexible deployment options in a compact form factor.
Elastic Static IP
Portabella supports mapping static IP addresses from the cloud or your data center, enabling stable IP addressing for services like VPN, VoIP/SIP, and others. Inbound network access remains available even during 4G LTE or 5G outages, as long as one WAN link is connected, ensuring business continuity.
Zero-Touch Provisioning & Management
Portabellas are preconfigured before shipment, enabling zero-touch installation right out of the box. Additional configuration and monitoring can be done through the user-friendly web-based management interface locally or remotely, as well as through a cloud-based Portal providing in-depth monitoring capabilities. All wireless ISPs are supported worldwide.
Network Security & Scalability
Portabella can be configured in pass-through mode to function inline with existing legacy firewalls/routers, leaving your network configuration untouched.
