Our History: A Spin-off from the University of California at San Diego

Mushroom Networks was founded in 2004 as a spin-off from the University of California at San Diego (UCSD). Our leadership team has over 70 years of collective cutting-edge research and development experience in the networking field, bringing a wealth of expertise to our products and services.

Our Mission: Delivering High-Quality, High-Performance Internet Services

When we started our journey, we were not satisfied with the quality and performance of the available Internet services, both wired and wireless. With our extensive research background, we knew what was theoretically possible and were convinced that it was feasible to build set-it-and-forget-it type networking solutions. By developing smarter networking devices that can handle problems arising from uncontrolled conditions such as cross-traffic and ISP issues, we aim to significantly improve the network experience for users and other stakeholders. Our earlier SD-WAN prototypes created the fastest ever consumer Internet connectivity speeds recorded by aggregating Wi-Fi access points in a residential area.

Our Passion: Networks that Function on Autopilot

Driven by our passion to make networks function on autopilot, we designed SD-WAN solutions that require minimal human intervention to install and operate, yet are incredibly powerful for customizing your network. Our self-healing overlay tunnels have the ability to detect and intelligently route around unexpected network problems, optimizing end-user experience for Internet applications, including demanding use cases such as live video broadcasting and other mission-critical applications.
