Temporary Elections Project Assistant
MCCL is seeking a temporary part- or full-time assistant to help with election projects. The position requires good communication and organizational skills, exceptional attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Applicants must be self-starters able to balance multiple demands and work with shifting priorities and deadlines. Ideal candidates will have a basic understanding of elections work and political action as well as a passion for pro-life advocacy work.
Projects will include, but not be limited to, candidate research and voter outreach through direct mail, phone calling, and email.

Receptionist/General Office Support
MCCL is seeking a part- or full-time person to fulfill receptionist and general office support needs. The position requires good communication and organizational skills, exceptional attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Applicants must be self-starters able to balance multiple demands and work with shifting priorities and deadlines. Applicants should have a basic understanding of Microsoft Office products and basic office equipment.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

Answering incoming telephone calls

Greeting volunteers, service people, members, and other visitors to our office

Providing administrative assistance to the Co-Executive Directors and others as needed

Sorting and distributing mail to appropriate staff
-
Maintaining and organizing files, office supplies, shipping supplies, and other resources

Monitoring and responding to emails
-
Helping with data entry, proofing batches, and other database needs
-
Helping with copying and mailings
-
Other duties as assigned

Student Internships
MCCL offers paid internship opportunities to college students to learn the fundamentals of educating and activating the grassroots to engage in the pro-life movement. Interns will:

Learn to articulate and defend the pro-life position

Work with the leaders of the pro-life movement in Minnesota

Make a direct impact on saving the lives of the most vulnerable among us

Gain first-hand experience in legislative action, political action, and educational action with grassroots membership

Be involved in projects such as our Life Leadership Camp; outreach to our statewide network of pro-life chapters; research on current legislative, political, and educational initiatives; outreach to diverse demographic groups; developing and disseminating communications to reach new communities and members; and much, much more
Interns quickly become part of the departmental staff and become invaluable to the day-to-day operations. Learning about the pro-life movement and the hands-on experience MCCL provides are only part of our internship program. Interns often form long-lasting friendships and make invaluable connections while at MCCL.
Applicants must be self-starters with good communication skills. They must be able to balance multiple demands and work with shifting priorities and deadlines. As interns, they should be equally comfortable working as part of a team and with minimal supervision. Preference is given to applicants with knowledge of the pro-life movement or previous involvement in pro-life activities.

Part-time (up to 32 hours per week) Data Entry Processor
This position performs a range of data entry including, but not limited to, processing donor gifts into Raiser’s Edge database and processing gift batches, keeping the database up-to-date with donor information, preparing receipts and thank-you letters, and assisting the general office staff by answering phones, helping with mass mailings, and other duties as assigned.
Requirements:

High-school education or equivalent

1+ years of Raiser's Edge experience preferred

Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and Google Drive
