SIGGRAPH Asia 2024 will take place from 3 – 6 December 2024 in Tokyo, Japan at the Tokyo International Forum. The annual event, which rotates around the Asian region, attracts the most respected technical and creative people from all over the world who are excited by research, science, art, animation, gaming, interactivity, education, and emerging technologies.

Please note that an Exhibit & Experience Pass from SIGGRAPH Asia is required to attend the Khronos Group BOF sessions.

Slang and the 3D Shading Language Landscape

Description: Shading languages have long been essential to using 3D APIs such as Vulkan, OpenGL, and Direct3D. The open source Slang initiative from NVIDIA promises a new generation of shading language productivity and functionality, including neural graphics. This session explores how Slang complements current languages while providing onramps for existing code bases, and enables portability of shader code across multiple platforms including PCs, the cloud, mobile, the web, and Apple platforms.

Forging the Immersive Web Through Real-Time Graphics

Description: Many believe that the next generation of the web will integrate the power and immersiveness of spatial computing to create new paradigms for interacting with our technology, our environments, and each other.
