Khronos standards are fundamental to many of the technologies on display at SIGGRAPH. The current presentations and events scheduled for SIGGRAPH 2024 are listed below. These events are taking place in two locations, the Colorado Convention Center and the Hyatt Regency Denver, as noted with each event.

Description: Explore Vulkan's dynamic evolution in serving high-performance graphics applications. Join us for the latest updates from the Vulkan Working Group and the active Vulkan community, including new capabilities and future directions, innovative tools and techniques for Vulkan application development, and insights into Slang.

- An update on all things Vulkan. We'll give a brief nod to ten years of work on Vulkan, and see how the Vulkan concept has changed over the years. We'll review recent developments, and take a look at what the future holds.
- The Vulkan Ecosystem, Karen Ghavram (LunarG)
- Since it is the 10 year anniversary from when Khronos called for participation in glNext at Vancouver Siggraph, this presentation will give a view of where we started with the Vulkan SDK tools at the launch of Vulkan, and where we are today. It will close with the next wave of technical challenges to be addressed with the Vulkan developer tools.
- Vulkan: Crash Diagnostic Layer, Jeremy Gebben (LunarG)
- An introduction to the crash diagnostic layer and how it can help in your Vulkan development.

- This talk will go over the high-level rendering features in the upcoming EVOLVE benchmark suite and what it develop a new engine from scratch for ray tracing performance.
- Slang in Vulkan, Hai Nguyen (NVIDIA)
- An overview of using the Slang shading language and compiler in Vulkan, covering graphics, compute, mesh shading and ray tracing.
- Adding Vulkan to Pixar's Hydra Storm Renderer. Henrik Edstrom (Autodesk), Ashwin Bhat (Autodesk) and Caroline Lachanski (Pixar)
- Pixar's OpenUSD is more than a file format; it's an extensible framework of open-source libraries, tools, and plugins, including the Hydra rendering framework and the Storm renderer. This talk will cover the recent addition of a Vulkan backend for Storm, developed collaboratively by Pixar, Autodesk, and Adobe, to enhance performance on both high-end workstations and mobile Android devices.
