Rick Kenney OBE 8th Dan
Our Vice President has had an illustrious judo career spanning decades including achieving multiple Scottish Championship titles and British medals. He was Team Manager at five Commonwealth Games and British Judo Team Manager from 2001 to 2004. Rick has also held multiple leadership roles in JudoScotland and the BJA, and is currently President of Commonwealth Judo Association. Rick holds the role of JudoScotland’s Area Director of Examiners, with responsibility to develop the Senior Examiner workforce and manage National Gradings opportunities. Rick's dedication to judo extends to coaching Scottish Masters judo training sessions. Recognised for his outstanding contributions, Rick was awarded an OBE for Services to Judo in 2020 and promoted to 8th Dan by the IJF in 2022.
