Baby quilts & pillows
Our crib duvets and baby pillow options might be small in size, but they’re big on comfort, warmth and softness. They're all machine-washable, so they're easy to keep clean and fresh. Crafted from cozy cotton blends, every piece in IKEA’s baby bedding collection aims to help your little one…well…sleep like a baby!
Baby pillows for the sweetest little snoozers
Sized just right for comfy nights in the crib, our baby pillows are fashioned from an easy-care cotton blend. Keeping their crib pillows fresh and clean is easy, as they are fully machine washable and dryable. Complete with one of our soft pillowcases to set your little one up for the sweetest, sleeping-on-a-cloud dreams. And be sure to grab them an extra pillow for those afternoon naps on the couch!
Cozy up to our baby quilt collection
When your little one is old enough to have loose bedding items in their crib, our baby quilts live up to their name, helping keep them comfortably warm through the night. Like our baby pillows, our crib duvet designs are machine washable and dryable. And given their petite dimensions, they don’t even take up much room in the wash!
Our crib duvets include popular cover fabric and filling options, including sustainably grown cotton, lyocell and polyester blends. Cotton/lyocell blends are favoured for their superior softness and moisture-absorbing properties, keeping baby fresh and cool. Cotton/polyester blends offer durability, affordability and eco-friendliness, with 100% recycled polyester options. Our baby duvet and pillows can be used on their own, or outfitted with a duvet cover and pillowcase set from our crib bedding collection.
True comfort for your little one
If your child is over 12 months but under 3 years of age, go for a lightweight blanket that provides enough warmth without overheating. If your child is not ready for a duvet yet – perhaps they move around a lot during the night – it's perfectly fine to continue using blankets or a sleeping bag until they are ready.
Can newborns use a duvet?
Do not use pillows and duvets for babies less than a year old. Apart from the suffocation risk, duvets can make your baby too hot. Instead, opt for sheets and blankets tucked in firmly below your baby's shoulder level or use a baby sleeping bag. These options are safe and provide the necessary warmth and comfort - just make sure that your baby can’t wriggle into a dangerous position.
Please review our safety tips for baby's sleep for more information about the recommended ages for our baby pillows, crib duvets and quilts to ensure your little one is ready.
Choosing the right baby duvets and pillows
When selecting baby duvets and pillows, consider the material and its breathability. Cotton and lyocell blends are gentle on your baby's skin, keeping it dry and cool. Additionally, our products are easy to clean - regular washing is essential to maintain hygiene after all.
Tips for maintaining baby bedding
To keep your baby’s duvets and pillows in top condition, wash them regularly according to the care instructions. Use a gentle detergent and avoid fabric softeners, which can irritate sensitive skin. Dry the items thoroughly to prevent mould and mildew growth. Regular maintenance not only ensures hygiene but also prolongs the life of the bedding.
