Her experience consists of commercial and residential design, renovation, general contracting, color consultations, furniture sales, lighting design, home and office organization, kitchen and bath design. She is passionate about beautiful design and is continually trying out new paint finishes, furniture arrangements, room layouts, lighting design and accessories. She has worked in a variety of design styles, including mid-century modern, contemporary, Hollywood glam, eclectic, Asian, as well as traditional spaces. Prior to her career in design, she has an extensive background of more than 20 years of non-profit management, managing million dollar budgets and staffs of more than a dozen professionals. She has designed exceptional spaces in both residential and commercial properties in Missouri, New York, California and Colorado. Her portfolio includes restaurants, private offices, and condos at the Chase Park Plaza. Shirley is a graduate of Webster University, Saint Louis, Missouri. Katie Marvin has always had a passion for interior design. She has followed in her mother’s footsteps and teamed up with her to create S&K Interiors. She is attending college and majoring in Interior Design. She has been on projects with Shirley over the last 10 years during any spare time gaining on the job training and experience. She has a background in customer service, branding/merchandising, sales, event planning, managing a small staff, and a member of ASID. The journey is to make S&K Interiors a company that “creates spaces to inspire”.

Lynzi Wise is an award-winning designer with the Ethan Allen Chesterfield, MO design team known for her attention to detail and extensive product knowledge. Driven by a passion for interior design, Lynzi draws upon her education and expertise in space planning, color, and pattern mixing to create stylish solutions for her clients. Having worked on homes ranging from rustic retreats, classic homesteads, small-scale spaces, timeless dwellings, and everything in between, Lynzi has the talent to bring your visions to reality. Lynzi graduated from Illinois State University with a bachelor’s degree in interior and environmental design and business administration. She has worked with the Peoria Playhouse Children’s Museum and with the Girl Scouts of Central Illinois to inspire future interior designers. Lynzi is the recipient of a nation-wide award for Outstanding Living Room Design in 2018 and multiple Ethan Allen Spirit Awards and Houzz recognitions.

Directions In Design, Inc. (DID) founded in 1975, has many years of diverse experience. We have created interior designs for new homes, room additions, basement plans, 3D renderings, kitchen and bath plans, wine cellars, and new refreshing looks for any part of your home. The woman owned (WBE and DWBE Certified) firm’s project base is built on extensive repeat business and a strong client referral network. As DID has grown, the firm has consistently earned awards for excellence. Thirty four professional design, purchasing, and support staff has accepted the challenge of projects ranging from extensive renovations to complex new construction. Resources include a large in-house library and Auto CAD/Revit technology which allows design teams to interface easily with owners, architects, engineers and other professional team members.
