    “We loved working with Killeen Studio Architects. We needed drawings to buid a laundry area in our 100-year-old St. Louis condo. The project included demolition of a closet that divided the condo’s large hall into two awkward spaces. Our new laundry is still under construction but we can already see it makes better use of the space. Mike Killeen and his team not only turned the drawings around fast, but also gave us advice, ideas and the names of trusted contractors. The whole experience was very professional, the drawings were exactly what we needed and the price was reasonable. We will certainly use Killeen Studio for our next project and I have no hesitation recommending them to others.”

There was a culture of sensitivity to our needs throughout the firm and skillful handling of issues as they inevitably cropped up. The firm worked with our century old house to bring it into the modern age, by retrofitting an amazing kitchen into limited space and converting an unusable attic space into a dream master bedroom suite with dormers, increasing our living space significantly.     “Complete kitchen and living area remodel as well as master bedroom addition. Ellyn's timeless design helped us gain the full potential of our 50+ year old home. We have storage, open floor plan and flow which were lacking in the original home. Her idea of open shelving in our kitchen is one of my favorite features. Skylights in the master bathroom bring in natural light while maintaining privacy.”

    “We worked with Tim Kerner on our full house renovation in downtown Philadelphia in 2009. He is very meticulous, thorough and thoughtful in his approach. He does not rush through decisions or projects. He communicated well with our general contractor. Also, when it came time to make decisions about lighting fixtures and other hardware around the house, he sent me some links online of ideas to choose from, to make the process less overwhelming. I found this extremely helpful. Tim is patient and easy to work with and I would hire him again for another project, or recommend him to anyone. I cannot speak to his rates because we did not get other estimates (as he also worked on a family member's project, so we knew we wanted to work with him). We are thrilled the way our house turned out.”

    “We interviewed 3 architects and chose John Allegretti based on his previous work and enthusiasm for our specific project. We wanted to go from a 1-1/2 story, 2 bedroom, 1-1/2 bath to something more. Our lot size is 33 x 132 ft. which isn't much to work with. Our location on lake Michigan's Silver Beach is extremely desirable but our home was not allowing us to take full advantage of available views. John created a full second story complete with a master suite (bedroom, bath and living area) and walk out second floor deck. This deck offers privacy and another beach view perspective. We now have expansive views throughout our home. (John used glass railings throughout.) We ended up with a more spacious home than we had envisioned. John also presented our project to the local planning commission (we needed variances), and remained engaged throughout the project which was a big help to us. We would work with John Allegretti and his associates again.”
