My husband and I did this layout - neither of us have kitchen design experience so I could use your input before we start construction. Couple of comments … I do not want the sink Or stovetop in the island because we wash dishes by hand a lot and always have a drain board out. I do want a window above the sink and the distant view would be canal/bay water. The door leads to an outdoor cooking area and should stay where is due to it being a walkway from room to room. I wanted to get an induction stovetop and separate wall oven because I heard it is better to separate the two in the event repairs are needed. I could do an electric top and range but not preferred. I like that the refrigerator is recessed in a few inches…I hate it when they stick out. The back wall is an exterior wall and is 6” thick (coastal Florida’s home).
I do not have the ability to see this in 3d so I am hoping someone with experience will chime in and offer suggestions. Many thanks!
