CHAPTER ONE: BECOMING A MUSICIAN
Invest in yourself
The digital revolution brought enormous changes to our lives since it began about 40 years ago, rising to the development of high technology at the beginning of this century. Twenty years ago, making a record was quite an expensive process that required the use of specialized equipment in conditioned spaces. The recording studios were in cities like New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Nashville, Mexico, and Buenos Aires. Once a record was finalized, artists needed a record label to place their material in stores around the world.
The new digital age made it possible for the same artist to write, record, produce, mix, master, and distribute their music using their computer for all these processes. Unlike 20 years ago, this chain of processes can now be done with a much lower investment and equipment with several basic elements that are accessible practically anywhere you are.
It really doesn't matter if you are a beginner or not and you had a decent studio for a long time, the same question always haunts your head: what is the next step? Because when you see all those incredible photos from professional studios on the internet, and you compare them with your current situation, it is normal that you want that piece of the puzzle that takes you one step closer to where you hope to go one day. Starting from day one,
