About this audiobook
#1 New York Times bestselling author Tessa Bailey is back in Napa Valley with this hilarious rom-com about a down-on-her-luck heiress who suggests a mutually beneficial marriage of convenience to a man she can’t stand... only to discover there’s a fine line between love and hate.
After losing her job and her fiancé in one fell swoop, Natalie Vos returned home to lick her wounds. A few months later, she’s sufficiently drowned her sorrows in cabernet and she’s ready to get back on her feet. She just needs her trust fund to finance her new business venture. Unfortunately, the terms require she marry before she can have the money. And well, dumped, remember?
But Natalie is desperate enough to propose to a man who makes her want to kill him—and kiss him, in equal measure.
August Cates may own a vineyard, but he doesn’t know jack about making wine. He’s determined to do his late best friend proud, no matter what it takes. Except his tasting room is empty, his wine is disgusting (seriously, he once saw someone gag), and his buddy’s legacy is circling the drain. No bank will give him the loan he needs to turn the business around... and then the gorgeous, feisty heiress knocks on his door.
Natalie has haunted August's dreams since the moment they met, but their sizzling chemistry immediately morphed into simmering insults. Now, a quickie marriage could help them both. A sham wedding, a few weeks living under the same roof, and then they can go their separate ways—assuming they make it out alive. How hard could it be?
There’s just one thing they didn’t account for: their unfortunate, unbearable, undeniable attraction.

The banter between the main characters is epic, and their enemies-to-lovers relationship is entertaining to watch. The book is a great example of romance, with relatable and lovable characters. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I loved this, It was so touching, real on the sense that it delved into emotions, and explored trains of thoughts that one might be thinking. This is also one of the books that I'm gonna save for my example of a perfect book boyfriend.

Natalie and August have a great enemies to lovers, forced proximity, and marriage of convenience trope. Plus there's a cat!
These two are a better pairing than the first book. They're much more relatable and loveable. There's plenty of humour which Tessa does so well and lots of "oh crap" moments. August has a military background which in itself brings some dark pasts. It's touching to see how Natalie comes to support him during these times and how their relationship builds because of this.
As their relationship grows and blossoms so does their love for each other in this fake relationship. They start to become friends and it's a relationship that everyone should have in real life. We get to see a difference in Natalie as she came across as hard-faced in Secretly Yours and we get to understand the passion August has for Wine Making. It was a little bit long-winded and we did lose a lot of the Voss family who I would have loved to have seen more of but I enjoyed Natalie and August's romance. It was a fun-filled, steamy read. Perfect palette cleanser. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5It was funny, corny, but very cute and heartfelt at times. And the sex scenes?! Great book, loved it.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This book was so good! A great example of romance.
it's like It happened one summer again but with a different vibe. Even though I hate 3-person but I enjoy this book sososo much. It made me cry and laugh at the same time.
And the MMC is 100% book husband material. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I adored this love story. Thank you to the author and narrator!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I really enjoyed this one, I love the hate to love relationship that they had.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Love an awesome enemies to lovers, especially when you know they fell for each other at first sight, and messed it up almost immediately! The joy of watching them stumble, and bumble, say out loud what they wanted to keep in their heads, all the while realizing the truth of their emotions. Whether they made me cry, made me laugh, or made pant, these two most definitely, kept me entertained and engrossed in their antics and wellbeing <3
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5After losing her job and her fiancée, Natalie returns to her family vineyard to regroup. She needs the money in her trust fund to start her own business, but can't get access until she marries. In desperation, she makes a deal with struggling winemaker August: if he marries her, she'll help him get a business loan. Despite the animosity between them, he agrees. Will their simmering attraction lead to more?
This book is a joy from start to finish. It's funny (really funny), uplifting, and emotional, with steamy scenes that will set your e-reader on fire. August is a clown but also a Navy SEAL, and the combination works well for creating an utterly believable, adorable, and heroic character. Natalie is very much his equal. She's strong, savvy, and snarky, but squishy underneath. The banter between them is epic. This novel is on par with IT HAPPENED ONE SUMMER. Don't miss it!
Thanks, NetGalley, for the ARC I received. This is my honest and voluntary review. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Tessa Bailey, you're a genius! I love you so much! Awesome story, as usual.
