College Notes: Jan. 6, 2025

MOORHEAD — Minnesota State Community and Technical College named 602 students to its Presidents List and 577 students to its Deans List for the fall 2024 semester.

Included on the President’s List from the local area is Scott Nolan, Pipestone, who is working toward an AAS degree in digital marketing.

Students on the Presidents List earned a grade point average of 4.0 while completing a minimum of six college-level credits and 75% of the courses in which they enrolled for the semester.

SUPERIOR, Wis. — The University of Wisconsin-Superior has named Tim Soper, Spirit Lake, Iowa, to the Dean’s List for academic achievement during the Fall 2024 semester.

To be named to the Dean’s List, students must have completed 12 degree-seeking semester credits and achieved at least a 3.50 grade point average (on a 4.0 scale).

VERMILLION, S.D. — More than 2,500 students at the University of South Dakota were honored for their high achievement during the fall 2024 semester with the release of the Dean’s List and Academic Honors.

ROCHESTER — The University of Minnesota Rochester has named the following area students to its Chancellor’s List for the fall semester: Briana Engelkes, Hadley; Leif Tollefson, Luverne; Mary Lou McNab, Slayton; and Ellie Maricle, Windom.

Each semester, UMR recognizes students who have achieved high academic achievement through the Chancellor's List. To be listed, a student must have earned a 3.666 GPA or higher and completed a minimum of 12 credits graded A-F.
