Saoirse Ronan reveals a massively popular singer told her they both resemble each other

Saoirse Ronan is opening up about her celebrity doppleganger on Thursday's episode of The Tonight Show.
The 30-year-old actress - who went viral for an exchange on The Graham Norton Show last week - was promoting her new film Blitz, currently in theaters in limited release ahead of its global debut on Apple TV Plus November 22.
The actress was asked if she had heard about all of the online chatter recently that she bears a striking resemblance to none other than singer Chappel Roan.
Ronan was shown a recent tweet that showed side-by-side photos of her and Roan, with the caption, 'have you ever seen saoirse ronan and chappell roan in the same room?'
When host Jimmy Fallon asked if she'd heard this before, the actress said she had... from none other than the singer herself.

'I do. And the person who made me aware of it was Chappell,' Ronan began, adding she, 'became so obsessed with her over the summer, just like everyone else.'
'And so, I went to her gig, and randomly lovely Brie Larson was there as well, who I know a a little bit,' she added.
Ronan added that Larson, 'brought a friend of hers, and afterwards her friend was like, "I'm gonna go over. I'm gonna talk to her parents."'
'And we were like, "No, you've got to play it cool. We can't, like, let her know that we love her as much as we do,"' she said as the crowd laughed.
'And so he went over, and it turns out that her friend is from the same town as Chappell's family,' the actress continued.
'Anyway, we went over, and I was playing it really cool. Her and Brie were like, chatting in the corner,' Ronan said.
'And I was like, "Cool, I'm gonna -- I'm gonna go." And she called me over, and she said, "Oh, everyone says that we're the same,"' Ronan said of their resemblance.
Fallon then produced a photo of the group including Larson, 'proving that you guys are different people,' showing Ronan and Roan side by side.

'And I was like, "Cool, I'm gonna -- I'm gonna go." And she called me over, and she said, "Oh, everyone says that we're the same,"' Ronan said of their resemblance
'We're in the same room. We both exist. But she's just -- she's just incredible. And I love how she's spoken out about just, like, the kind of insane treatment that famous people get,' Ronan added.
She also spoke about her new movie Blitz, revealing she wanted to go into 'semi-retirement' before landing this role.
'I said to my agent, "I'm going into sort of semi-retirement. And the only way I'll come out is if like, someone like Steve Mcqueen comes along. Ha ha ha,"' she said.
'And so, my agent called me back a few days later and he was like, "Yeah, so Steve Mcqueen's been on the phone,"' she said of the Blitz director.
