EXETER — Erin Van Ness scored eight of her 14 points in the first quarter and Laurianna Alston added four of her game-high 17 as Tunkhannock defeated Wyoming Area, 38-30, in a girls basketball game Saturday afternoon.
Olivia Williams finished with five points for the Tigers, who picked up their second consecutive win.
Addison Gaylord and Aminah Dixon each scored six points for Wyoming Area. Shannon Kearns and Jailynn Park each had five, while Krea Bonita and Abby Sterba both scored four.
Wyoming Seminary 54, Susquehanna 19: At Susquehanna, Ella Stambaugh scored 20 points to lead Wyoming Seminary (7-4) to a nonleague win in girls basketball.
Stambaugh scored eight points in the first quarter when Wyoming Seminary jumped out to a 22-5 lead, and she added eight more in the second. Avery Luksic added 10 points for the winners.
Lauren Huyck had seven points to lead Susquehanna (1-11).
Hazleton Area 82, Coatesville 49: At Hazleton Area, Kaitlyn Bindas scored a game-high 27 points to lead five Hazleton Area players in double figures as the Cougars picked up a nonleague victory at home Saturday afternoon.
Sophia Benyo scored 13 points for Hazleton Area, while Mariah Marolo, Alexis Reimold and Sophia Shults each scored 12.
Milan Bryant led Coatesville with 14 points. Janasia Holmes scored 12 and Kari Beasley had 11.
Dallas 62, Pocono Mountain West 43: At Pocono Summit, Odessa Kanton led three Dallas players in double figures with 23 points as the Mountaineers picked up a nonleague win Saturday afternoon.
Mia DelGaudio scored 13 points, while Caitlyn Mizzer scored 10. Brianna Casey chipped in with nine points for the Mountaineers.
Dieruff 54, Berwick 42: At Berwick, Jayla Rosario scored 17 points, and Aniya Holder and Marisa Price each scored 10 in Dieruff’s nonleague victory Saturday afternoon.
Justyce McChristian added seven points for Dieruff.
Abby Calarco led Berwick with 21 points. Carly Post scored 13 and Ashlyn Zakrewsky scored six.
Notre Dame-East Stroudsburg 58, Hanover Area 34: At East Stroudsburg, Hanover Area went on the road Saturday afternoon and lost a nonleague game.
Emma Schlingman led Hanover Area with 10 points.

MMI Prep 46, Lourdes Regional 41: At MMI Prep, Nate Kringe scored 17 points and Nick Pantages added 12 to lead MMI Prep to a nonleague victory Saturday afternoon.
Jandel Figueroa added eight points and Jozef Dovicak scored seven for the Preppers.
Gavin Remm led Lourdes with 14 points.

Crestwood’s Kyle Draina went 5-2 with three pins and two decisions to place seventh at 285 pounds at the Mid-Winter Mayhem on Saturday at Kovalchick Convention Center Complex at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
Southern Tier Memorial: At LECOM Event Center (New York), Wyoming Area’s Nate Obrzut went 4-2 with three pins and a decision for a fifth-place finish at 285 pounds Saturday at Southern Tier Memorial.
Connor Novakowski (124) and Chase Wilhelm (108) placed seventh and eighth, respectively, as the Warriors placed 16th out of 48 teams.
Girls wrestling
Wallenpaupack 48, Hanover Area 24: At Wallenpaupack, Hanover Area won four of the six contested bouts, but the Buckhorns took advantage of six forfeits.
Santina Saraka (112), Kaidence Anker (130), Lekayla Constantine (148) and Claire Gyle (100) all had falls for the Hawkeyes.
Charlotte Fetherman (124) and Rosa SanClementi (106) picked up first-period falls for the Buckhorns.
