If you have Medicare, you cannot obtain additional coverage through the New York State of Health. Your health Insurance questions can be best addressed through the Office for the Aging Health Insurance Information Counseling and Assistance Program (HIICAP) at 315-253-1226.
Those without health insurance and not eligible for Medicare should contact the New York State of Health to apply for benefits. New York State of Health has contracted with Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency, Inc. and its subcontractor Cayuga County Chamber of Commerce to provide Navigator services in Cayuga and Seneca Counties to assist potential enrollees with accessing affordable care through the Health Insurance Marketplace.
