Ingredients

Original recipe (1X) yields 4 servings

  • 1 1/2 cups diced strawberries, divided

  • 1 cup milk

  • 1 cup water

  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar, or to taste

  • 1 pinch salt

  • 1 cup oatmeal

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

  1. Place 3/4 cup strawberries, milk, water, brown sugar, and salt in a blender cup and blend until smooth.

  2. Place oatmeal and strawberry mixture in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, reduce the heat, add remaining strawberries, and simmer until thick, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla.
