Ingredients

Original recipe (1X) yields 2 servings

  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika

  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt

  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder

  • 1/8 teaspoon celery seed

  • 2 (6 ounce) cod filets, patted dry

  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter

  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

  • 2 teaspoons chopped parsley (optional)

Directions

  1. Add smoked paprika, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and celery seed to a bowl; stir until evenly combined. Season cod filets on all sides with mixture and place on a plate.

  2. Melt butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add cod and fry for 3 minutes.

  3. Turn filets over, add lemon juice, and fry until cod flakes easily with a fork, about 2 minutes more. Transfer to a serving plate; garnish with parsley.
