Ingredients

Original recipe (1X) yields 4 servings

  • 1 (15.5 ounce) can garbanzo beans, drained and rinsed

  • ¼ onion, grated

  • ½ lemon, juiced

  • 1 clove garlic, crushed

  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper

  • ¼ teaspoon ground cayenne pepper

  • 5 tablespoons olive oil

  • ¼ cup frozen green peas, thawed

Directions

  1. Combine garbanzo beans, onion, lemon juice, garlic, oregano, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper in a bowl; stir in olive oil and adjust seasonings. Stir in peas. Cover; marinate in the refrigerator at least 1 hour.
