Submitted by Colleen Marie Published on July 21, 2011 Save Rate Print Share Close Add Photo Prep Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 5 mins Total Time: 10 mins Servings: 3 Yield: 3 servings Jump to Nutrition Facts Cook Mode (Keep screen awake) Ingredients 1 (12 ounce) package frozen broccoli 1 clove garlic, minced ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese, plus more for serving salt to and freshly ground black pepper to taste Directions Place broccoli in a microwave-safe dish and microwave on high until defrosted, 3 to 4 minutes; they should be defrosted but not cooked all the way. Add 1/4 cup Parmesan and garlic, stir, and cook for another 2 to 3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper and stir. Serve with extra Parmesan sprinkled over top. Cook's Note: If I serve this to guests, I saute the garlic and broccoli on the stove and then add the Parmesan. When it's just my roommate and I, this way is even simpler and creates fewer dishes.
