Ingredients

  • 1 small yellow onion, diced

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter

  • 1 medium head cabbage, shredded

  • 1 pound kielbasa sausage, sliced

  • 2 cups chicken broth

  • 1 (12 ounce) bag egg noodles

  • salt and ground black pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Turn on a multi-functional pressure cooker (such as Instant Pot) and select Sauté function. Add onion and butter; cook and stir until lightly browned, 1 to 2 minutes. Add cabbage and kielbasa; cook and stir until cabbage wilted down, about 10 minutes. Stir in chicken broth and egg noodles to combine.

  2. Close and lock the lid. Select High pressure according to manufacturer's instructions; set timer for 3 minutes. Allow 10 to 15 minutes for pressure to build.

  3. Release pressure carefully using the quick-release method according to manufacturer's instructions, about 5 minutes. Unlock and remove the lid. Season with salt and black pepper. Serve immediately.
