Ingredients

Original recipe (1X) yields 4 servings

  • 1 ½ cups crushed buttery round crackers, or as needed

  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

  • 2 eggs

  • 3 tablespoons butter

  • 20 fresh morel mushrooms, sliced

Directions

  1. Combine crushed crackers and flour in a bowl. Beat eggs in a separate bowl.

  2. Melt butter over medium heat in a frying pan.

  3. Dip mushrooms into the eggs, then roll them in the cracker mixture, shaking off any excess. Fry in the hot butter, in batches, until golden brown, 3 to 4 minutes per side.

Cook's Note:

Use any kind of crackers you prefer.
