Original recipe (1X) yields 8 servings 2 cups all-purpose flour 1/2 cup plus 3 tablespoons white sugar, divided 1 large egg 2 teaspoons vanilla sugar ½ cup unsalted butter, cubed and softened 3 ½ cups chopped rhubarb 2 tablespoons cold unsalted butter, cubed Directions Sift flour into a large bowl, making a well in the center. Add 1/2 white cup sugar, egg, and vanilla sugar into well. Distribute 1/2 cup softened and cubed butter evenly on top; mix into a dough using your hands. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
