Ingredients

Original recipe (1X) yields 48 servings

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened

  • 1 cup packed brown sugar

  • ½ cup white sugar

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 tablespoon grated orange zest

  • 1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract

  • 1 teaspoon orange extract

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • 3 cups rolled oats

  • 1 cup dried cranberries

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

  2. Beat butter, brown sugar, and white sugar with an electric mixer in a large bowl until smooth. Beat in eggs, one at a time, then stir in orange zest, vanilla extract, and orange extract.

  3. Whisk flour, baking soda, and cinnamon together in a separate bowl; stir into butter mixture. Stir in oats and cranberries.

  4. Drop rounded tablespoonfuls of dough onto ungreased cookie sheets.

  5. Bake in the preheated oven until golden brown, 10 to 12 minutes . Cool on the cookie sheet for 2 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
