Non-Spicy Salsa

This delicious salsa is very easy to make and you can add or take out spices and herbs to your taste. This is a fun recipe for kids to make and experiment with.

Ingredients

Original recipe (1X) yields 16 servings

  • 1 white onion, quartered

  • 4 cloves garlic

  • 3 ¼ cups crushed tomatoes

  • ½ bunch cilantro, chopped

  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin

  • 1 pinch dried oregano, or to taste

  • 1 pinch dried parsley, or to taste

Directions

  1. Combine onion and garlic in a food processor; process until finely chopped.

  2. Pour tomatoes into a bowl. Stir in chopped onion and garlic. Add cilantro, cumin, oregano, and parsley.

Cook's Note:

Optional: Let the mixture sit in the fridge for 1 hour before serving to let the flavors mix.
