Ingredients

Original recipe (1X) yields 4 servings

  • cooking spray

  • 4 firm bananas, peeled and halved lengthwise

  • ¼ cup maple syrup (Optional)

  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

  • 1 (1 inch) piece fresh ginger, grated

  • 1 ½ teaspoons ground nutmeg

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Coat a baking dish with cooking spray.

  2. Arrange banana halves in the prepared baking dish. Drizzle with maple syrup; sprinkle with cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg. Cover dish with aluminum foil.

  3. Bake in the preheated oven until heated through, 10 to 15 minutes.

Cook's Notes:

Substitute 1/8 teaspoon dried ginger for fresh ginger, if desired.

Mash or purée cooked bananas, if desired.
