These delightful salmon fillets, with their wonderful honey-mustard-butter sauce, are similar to the salmon dish I enjoyed at a bar-and-grill in New Castle, Delaware.

Ingredients

Original recipe (1X) yields 4 servings

  • 1 (1.5 pound) skinless center-cut salmon fillet, cut into 4 pieces

  • 1 cup milk

  • ¼ cup fine bread crumbs

  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1 large egg

  • ¼ cup butter, melted

  • 1 tablespoon prepared yellow mustard

  • 1 tablespoon honey

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Spray a baking sheet with cooking spray.

  2. Place fillets in a baking dish. Pour milk over fillets. Allow to soak in milk, 10 to 15 minutes.

  3. Stir bread crumbs and Parmesan cheese together in a wide, deep bowl. Beat egg in a separate bowl until frothy. Remove fillets from milk, shaking off excess. Dip each fillet into egg. Gently press into breadcrumb mixture to coat, shaking off excess.

  4. Bake in the preheated oven, turning once half way through cooking, until fillets flakes easily with a fork, about 15 minutes.

  5. Meanwhile, stir butter, mustard, and honey together in a bowl. Drizzle over fillets and serve.
