Original recipe (1X) yields 8 servings 1 (14.1 ounce) package double-crust pie pastry, thawed 2 cups water 1 ½ cups white sugar 1 ½ teaspoons cream of tartar 25 buttery round crackers ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon 2 tablespoons butter Directions Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F (225 degrees C). Roll out pastry, place bottom pastry into a pie pan, and set aside. Bring water to a boil in a large saucepan. Mix together sugar and cream of tartar in a small bowl. Add mixture to boiling water.
