Goldfish Is Releasing an All-New Product—and It’s Not a Cracker

A new kind of snack that smiles back.

As a kid, the joy of opening your lunchbox to find your favorite cheesy crackers smiling back at you was unmatched. And, let’s be honest, as adults, we still get pretty excited when there’s a chance to snack on some Goldfish.

It’s no secret that Goldfish are some of the most beloved snacks out there—in fact, the company makes one million bags of Goldfish every single day. And the brand has been producing fresh, new flavors and products since its inception in the ‘60s.

But, rarely does Goldfish step outside of what it knows best: crackers. Beyond the Goldfish Pretzels, which have been around for years, the Pepperidge Farm brand has never really released anything that’s not a cracker or a graham cracker.

However, now, Goldfish is releasing an all-new, non-cracker innovation in three exciting flavors. The brand is entering the potato chip landscape for the first time ever with its new Goldfish Crisps.

Goldfish Launches New Goldfish Crisps

Goldfish Crisps are light, airy, bite-sized, baked potato chip-inspired snacks. The potato-based crisps will, of course, still come in the shape of a goldfish—but the chips will be slightly bigger to appeal to adults and kids alike.

As Janda Lukin, SVP and Chief Marking Officer of Campbell’s Snacks says, “From Mega Bites to our popular limited-time offerings, we continue to find new ways to satisfy snackers of every age. With Crisps, we are combining the crave-able qualities of chips with the iconic shape and always-baked deliciousness of Goldfish for a brand-new, irresistible, and flavorful snack.”

The Goldfish chips will be available in Cheddar, Sour Cream & Onion, and Salt & Vinegar flavors. Goldfish has had crackers in all of these flavors—even though the Flavor Blasted Salt & Vinegar cracker has been discontinued—but who can resist these flavors as potato chips? We know we can’t.

Goldfish Crisps will start to roll out on major retailer shelves nationwide starting in January. The bags will cost $4.79.

These new Goldfish Crisps are one of Goldfish’s most exciting new launches to date. While we’ve seen new cracker flavors and collabs over the years, it’s been a while since we’ve gotten a brand-new Goldfish product. Let’s hope these new potato chip Goldfish are just the first of many to come—because Barbecue Goldfish Crisps, Sour Cream & Cheddar Goldfish Crisps, and even Pizza Goldfish Crisps sound way too delicious to not exist.
