Your oven will be working hard this holiday season but your air fryer might be working harder. The handy appliance is the perfect way to reheat leftovers, giving them a taste just as good as the very first serving. But, unlike microwaves, air fryers require cleaning after every use. Even if you know how to clean your air fryer, the build-up can still happen over time if you don’t stay on top of it.

One way to make clean-up easier is to use a parchment paper liner but those can be costly and affect the airflow in the cooking chamber. Alternatively, using non-stick cooking spray is simple and makes cleanup a breeze, but not all sprays are ideal for your appliance.

Similar to when you’re cooking on the stove, it’s important to consider the smoke point of your oil. Olive oil is great for sautéeing, but when cooking at higher temperatures, it’s better to use oils such as coconut, avocado, or canola. While you can always load up a spritzer with your preferred oil, it’s hard to argue with the convenience and even mist that store-bought cooking sprays, like Pam, offer.

Pam's nonstick cooking spray has been a kitchen staple for years and the brand has created products for a variety of needs, including high-heat grilling spray, flour-infused baking spray, and even butter-flavored nonstick spray.

Now, the brand is launching its newest nonstick spray made with the ever-popular air fryer in mind.

While you may have been using Pam in your air fryer for years, the brand's newest addition is formulated specifically for the convenient countertop cooker. Pam Air Fryer nonstick cooking spray’s formula has been updated for easier air fryer cleaning and won’t negatively affect your air fryer’s nonstick coating. The spray can withstand temperatures up to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C) and be sprayed directly on the unheated air fryer basket to achieve golden, crispy edges on chicken taquitos, mozzarella sticks, and more—all without the need to scrape the food out of the basket when it's done or use extra manpower when trying to clean the tray later.

It’s important to note that you never want to get any cooking spray directly into the air fryer base because it can adhere to the heating element and become a fire hazard. Always remember to remove and spray the basket while it’s outside of the cooking chamber.

Pam Air Fryer nonstick cooking spray is available at major retailers—including Walmart, Acme, and Instacart—nationwide so don’t forget to pick up a can along with the rest of your holiday cooking essentials this year.
