Gochujang BBQ Sauce

I make this gochujang BBQ sauce and use it on just about anything we grill. Sweet, sticky and spicy, it’s especially good on ribs, but also on chicken, fish, or even burgers.

Ingredients

Original recipe (1X) yields 8 servings

  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

  • 3 cloves garlic, crushed

  • 1 (1 inch) piece fresh ginger, grated

  • 1/3 cup gochujang sauce

  • 1/4 cup pineapple juice

  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil

  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce

  • 2 tablespoons rice wine vinegar

  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Directions

  1. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and ginger and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute. Add gochujang sauce, pineapple juice, sugar, sesame oil, soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, and Worcestershire. Simmer for 10 minutes. Remove from heat.
