It was super easy to make. Next time I'm going to move it up to the top rack and broil for 5-10 minutes. I don't understand why the instructions would have you apply the oil/garlic/spices in two bowls and then throw them all together into a roasting pan. Seems like a wasted dirty bowl to me. I used ricotta instead of cottage cheese. Added dried basil and completely forgot about the eggs. It still turned out awesome! Whole family loved it. Whisked mayo, sour cream, lemon juice, honey, balsamic vinegar and rosemary together. Added chicken, apples, cranberries, celery, pecans. I chopped up the iceberg lettuces and green leaf lettuce and tossed all together. My girls like it Iceberg so to compromise I mix two kinds of lettuce. Helpful (1) Slow Cooker Baked Ziti 01/15/2017 I didn't use all the ingredients listed in this recipe. I par-boiled the Ziti. I layered the slow cooker with chopped onion, tomato sauce, fresh basil, salt, pepper and oregano, 1/2 measurement of ricotta, cooled Ziti evenly. Sprinkled 1/2 measurements of mozzarella. Repeated the layer.Cooked on low for 6 hours. Easy dinner, yum and easy clean up. Left overs as well.
