This is my go-to recipe for perfect hard boiled eggs every time. I am grateful the cook made it so easy and reliable.

I make these all the time. It’s another one of Chef John’s recipes I really like. Be sure to cool the crust before you add the lemon custard. Sometimes I hurry the process by placing a slightly cool pan on a tray of ice cubes. It’s hard not to be impatient when you’re waiting to eat a lemon bar.

I believe the cake batter needs salt. I am going to try that modification and see if I am happier with the taste. The texture is fabulous, but the taste seems somewhat bland. I checked other recipes for sour cream coffee cake, and noticed they include salt.

So savory! This is our new method of enjoying artichokes. It is reasonably easy and actually takes less time.
