Added 2 eggs, a splash of vanilla, 1/2 cup milk and 1/4 cup veg oil. Lol. Silly as this was supposed to be a 2 ingredient cake. But, I didn't mind putting in the few extra ingredients. This was a good base recipe and I will be using it again! I baked it for 22 minutes in a 9x13 glass pan. Put cream cheese frosting on top. A simple, taste, recipe for a fall cake. January 2025 A keeper! Easy and quick meal. Delicious! Helpful (0) Allrecipes Member reviewed Chickentarian’s 2-Ingredient Pumpkin Cake. December 2024 I used Libby canned pumpkin (1/2 of a larger, 29 ounce can), and 1 box Duncan Heinz Perfectly Moist Spice Cake Mix I admit- I was scared to adapt the recipe as is and also use a Bundt pan. Rest assured- do not fear is my takeaway! This recipe turned out to be perfect! It was fluffy, moist and it rose beautifully. My picky kids even loved it! I used a cinnamon glaze on it.I will tell everyone about this recipe! Helpful (2) Trina Hoefling reviewed Chickentarian’s 2-Ingredient Pumpkin Cake. December 2024 I also added two eggs and a splash of vanilla. Yum! Helpful (4) Ratings & Reviews 148 see all Southern Grits Casserole 05/12/2013 Delecious! I made for a group of friends who had never eaten grits and they all loved it. I only used 7 eggs and about 1/4 cup of milk based on other reviews. Other than that I made as written. I also seasoned my grits before mixing with other ingredients. This was so runny it wasn't edible, and I made it twice just to be sure I didn't do something wrong. However, I let it sit in the pan almost all day out of disgust and much to my surprise it firmed up and tasted out of this world good!! I will add more flour next time and see if that helps. With so many good reviews it has to be a problem with something other than the recipe. Helpful (1) Chicken and Dumplings IV 09/18/2012 I thought the flour mixture made it too thick and gave it a weird flavor. Will try again but with 1/2 the recommended flour. Dumplings weren't bad but some of them were gooey, or too dense. Thank you for the spatula trick because my chicken was definitely sticking to the bottom of the pot. Helpful (0) Red Garlic Mashed Potatoes 09/18/2012 I loved these and ate so much my stomach was aching! I didn't have crushed garlic so I just sprinkled a little bit of garlic powder in while the potatoes boiled and I liked the subtle taste, I didn't add any extra to the mashed potatoes. Also used milk because it was all I had on hand and I only added 1Tbsp of sugar. I liked the added sugar, you couldn't really pick out the extra sweetness, it made it more like the potatoes themselves were sweet.
