Ingredients

Original recipe (1X) yields 4 servings

  • 2 cups chopped celery

  • 4 tablespoons white sugar, divided

  • 1/2 teaspoon celery seeds

  • 1/2 teaspoon orange zest

  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt

  1. Gather all ingredients.

  2. Pulse celery, 1 tablespoon sugar, celery seeds, orange zest, and kosher salt in a food processor until nearly smooth, 2 to 3 minutes.

  3. Press through a sieve into a canning jar; discard solids.

  4. Add water as needed to equal 2/3 cup liquid. Add remaining 3 tablespoons sugar. Screw on lid; shake until sugar is dissolved. Chill until ready to serve, up to 10 days.
