Ingredients

Original recipe (1X) yields 20 servings

  • 1 1/2 cups apple cider

  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • 1 (14 ounce) can condensed dulce de leche

  • 1 3/4 cups half-and-half

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

  1. Stir cider and cinnamon together in a saucepan and bring to a boil over medium high heat; simmer until mixture is reduced to 1/4 cup and slightly thickened, about 10 minutes.

  2. Add cider reduction to dulce de leche in a medium bowl and stir until smooth. Stir in half-and-half and vanilla until well combined. Transfer mixture to a bottle or jar fitted with a lid and refrigerate until ready to serve.
