On Oct. 9, the USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced that BrucePac, an Oklahoma-based manufacturer, is recalling approximately 9,986,245 pounds of ready-to-eat meat and poultry products.

The recall was initiated after FSIS routine testing found that ready-to-eat poultry products produced by BrucePac tested positive for Listeria monocytogenes. Further testing confirmed that the poultry products were the sources of the listeria. However, ready-to-eat meat products produced by BrucePac are also subject to recall.

The ready-to-eat meat and poultry items were produced between June 19, 2024, and Oct. 8, 2024. These products were shipped to distributors nationwide, then distributed to restaurants and institutions, according to the FSIS.

The full list of products and product labels have not been released yet, though we do know that the recalled products bear the establishment numbers "51205" or "P-51205" inside or under the USDA mark of inspection. We will be updating this article as more information, including the product list, becomes available. You can view BrucePac's full list of products on its website.
