You can also call Fresh Express Consumer Response Center at 800-242-5472 between 8:00 am and 7:00 pm ET to receive a refund. The recall began after a routine test was done by the Florida Department of Agriculture. The sample taken had a positive result for Listeria monocytogenes in one randomly selected package. At this time, no illnesses have been reported related to the recalled products. Further, no other Fresh Express products are being recalled at this time. What Is Listeria Monocytogenes? Listeria is a foodborne illness that can cause serious and potentially fatal infections, particularly in children, elderly individuals, and those with a weakened immune system. Symptoms can include high fever, severe headaches, stiffness, nausea, abominable pain, and diarrhea for healthy individuals. Pregnant people are at risk of miscarriage and stillbirth if they have a Listeria infection. If you experience Listeria symptoms that typically begin one to four weeks after eating contaminated food, contact your healthcare provider. Was this page helpful? Thanks for your feedback!
