It's a must-have for summer.

It’s officially patio season, which means we’re constantly searching for ways to make our summer lives a little easier. That means new grill tools, storage containers that keep produce fresh, and maybe a cooler (or cooler hack) to ensure the ice lasts as long as the party does. Because even though the days are getting longer, we want to stretch our get-togethers well into the night.

Everyone knows that the best time at any backyard barbecue is when someone lights the fire. That’s when you can bring out the s’mores, mountain pies, and even hot dogs to roast while enjoying a summer cocktail and some good company.

Depending on where you live, a firepit or outdoor fireplace might not be an option. Or, maybe it is but you don’t want a big roaring fire—or for your clothes to smell like smoke. They’re all valid issues in the summer, which is why things like small, smokeless firepits exist.

The most recognizable name in smokeless firepits is Solo Stove, which has a range of outdoor, tabletop, and indoor firepits—and has even branched out to pizza ovens and camp stoves. However, even the cheapest Solo Stove firepit, which is its small, indoor Fire Bowl, will still run you about $50. Yes, you can usually find Solo Stove products on sale during holiday weekends or at Costco, but they’ll still cost a chunk of change.

That’s why we turn to stores like Aldi that offer private label products that are just as good as (and sometimes better than) the name brand alternative for a fraction of the price.

This week, Aldi is selling a smokeless tabletop firepit for a third of what you’d pay for a name-brand stove at other retailers. Aldi’s Adventuridge Tabletop Smokeless Fire Pit joins the Aldi Finds aisle on June 12 for $29.99.

Just like Solo Stove’s Mesa firepit, Aldi’s portable copycat is meant for outdoor use on tabletop surfaces to bring the fire to you. Aldi’s stainless steel firepit sits propped on an included base to keep surfaces safe from the heat it emits. The smokeless firepit comes with a carry bag and pellet adapter, so you can take the mini gadget wherever you go and burn both wood pellets and firewood.

While Aldi doesn’t include dimensions for its Mesa copycat, it appears to be roughly the same size—meaning it could have a burn time of about 45 minutes, if you’re using pellets, and a heat radius of one to two feet. Plus, it allows you to cook at least two marshmallows at a time—which is an important matter when it comes to s’mores making.

Aldi has offered other Solo Stove copycats before—usually, it’s the full-sized smokeless firepit for backyards—and customers have had some pretty positive things to say about them. So, we’d imagine that the tabletop variety will be no different.

The tabletop firepit is available in four colors—stainless steel, black, green, and red—while supplies last. But, with summer parties about to be in full swing, don’t expect them to last long.
