Allrecipes' editorial guidelines Published on August 21, 2024 Close Photo: Shutterstock Recently, while at a restaurant, I ordered a paloma, the grapefruit and tequila cocktail with a soft pink hue. It’s a pretty cocktail, and it was made prettier by its presentation in a ribbed highball glass. You may have seen this glassware on Instagram or TikTok as influencers love this trendy cocktail glass with a classic vibe. I’m a little obsessed with cocktail glasses, and I buy most of them at thrift stores or yard sales, but I may be heading to Aldi this week to snag a four-pack of the current “it” cocktail glassware because the price is too good to pass up. The glassware goes on sale on Aug. 21 in the Aldi Finds houseware and lifestyle aisle, and it’s just the latest in trendy copycat glassware that Aldi has been bringing us all year. In March, the Finds aisle had a hobnail pitcher that had us comparing it to one Pottery Barn sold for one-third of the price. In April, the store dropped colorful wine glasses and rocks glasses that looked like much pricier Williams Sonoma glassware. In June, Aldi brought us acrylic hobnail tumblers, perfect for quenching your thirst outdoors in style, similar to more expensive ones Target sold. So, I’m not surprised that Aldi now has these trendy bar glasses at a great price, but I am super tempted to buy them despite resisting all the other glassware deals this year. Aldi’s Crofton Stackable Highball Glasses Crate & Barrel sells glass, ribbed, stackable, 16-ounce highball glasses for $6.95 each. They're offered in four colors: clear, cider orange, moss green, and blue. They are not dishwasher safe and must be hand-washed instead. Aldi is selling ribbed, 16-ounce stackable highball glasses in four-packs for $9.99 under its Crofton brand. They come in three colors: clear, amber, and red. The amber is similar in hue to Crate & Barrel's cider orange. The biggest difference between Aldi's and Crate & Barrel's glasses is that the Aldi ones can go in the dishwasher. Aldi/Allrecipes The price difference is significant, too. At $2.50 a glass for Aldi's version compared to $6.95 a glass for the Crate & Barrel version, you could buy almost three sets of the Aldi version—one set in each color if that's what you want—for what four Crate & Barrel glasses cost. The Aldi colors are also perfect for fall. The amber and the red give off changing fall leaves vibes and will both look fabulous on a Thanksgiving table. The red will certainly come in handy during the winter holidays through Valentine's Day. The more I think about it, the more I'm convinced that this glassware will end up in my home. I'll need to hit Aldi on Aug. 21 or soon after because these glasses are a one-week-only offering. If they sell out before the end of the week (which is always Wednesday through Tuesday for Aldi Finds), we'll be out of luck if we don't jump on them sooner rather than later. Was this page helpful?
