Air Fryer Brats

Forget about the weather and cooking outside with these air fryer brats! There’s no reason to fire up the grill when you can get crispy brats this juicy and tender with perfect texture from an air fryer. We like ours on a hoagie bun with German mustard and sauerkraut.

Ingredients

Original recipe (1X) yields 4 servings servings

  • cooking spray

  • 4 uncooked bratwurst (such as Johnsonville®)

  • 4 brat or sausage buns

Directions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 380 degrees F (193 degrees C). Spray the fryer basket with cooking spray or use an air fryer disposable parchment liner.

  2. Place brats in the air fryer basket, being sure not to overcrowd, leaving some room around them. Cook until browned, flipping halfway through cooking time, 12 to 15 minutes. An instant-read thermometer inserted near the center should read at least 160 degrees F (70 degrees C).

Cook's Note:

If you have the time, room temperature brats will cook faster and more evenly. Cooking time may need to be adjusted up or down by a minute or so depending on the brand, wattage, and size of your air fryer.
