Vermont (i/vərˈmɒnt/ or /vɜːrˈmɒnt/,locally: [vɚˈmɑ̟̃(ʔ)]) is a state in the New England region of the northeastern part of the United States. It is bordered to the west by New York, the south by Massachusetts, the east by New Hampshire and to the north by the Canadian province of Quebec. Vermont is the 6th smallest in area and the 2nd least populous of the 50 United States. It is the least populous of the six New England states and the only one not bordering the Atlantic Ocean. Lake Champlain covers half of Vermont's western border, while the Connecticut River forms most of Vermont's eastern boundary with New Hampshire. The Green Mountains run north-south the length of the state.
With a population of 7,671, the state capital of Montpelier is the least populous state capital in the US. Vermont's most populous city is Burlington. With a 2013 population of 42,284, Burlington is the least populous city in the United States to be the largest city within a state. Burlington's metropolitan area has a population of 214,796. Vermont is one of the most racially homogeneous states; 94.3% of its population identified as non-Hispanic white in 2010.
Vermont wine refers to wine made from grapes grown in the U.S. state of Vermont. The first commercial winery in Vermont, Snow Farm Winery, opened in 1997. Vermont is a very cold climate for viticulture. Vermont wineries have focused on using cold-hardy French hybrid grapes, but have been experimenting with some Vitis vinifera varieties. Some Vermont wineries produce wine made from grapes grown in other states, especially New York.

This Is How the Wind Shifts is the seventh studio album by Canadian post-hardcore band Silverstein, released on February 5, 2013 through Hopeless Records.
It is the first album to not feature long time lead guitarist Neil Boshart and first to include new guitarist Paul-Marc Rousseau.
Silverstein announced they had signed with Hopeless on November 15, 2010. Vocalist Shane Told said the band have been "huge fans of the label since their inception". Hopeless released the band's Rescue (2011) album in April 2011 and Short Songs (2012) album in February 2012. In mid-to-late August, the band went on the Short Songs, Short Tour; the last tour they would go on before starting to work on a new album. In late September, the band announced that guitarist Neil Boshart hasn't been in the band for the preceding month and was replaced by Paul Marc Rousseau, who has previously worked for the band. This Is How the Wind Shifts was recorded at Sundown Studios in Guelph, Ontario, Canada with producer Jordan Valeriote. Valeriote also engineered and mixed the album. It was mastered by Troy Glessener at Spectre Mastering.

This is the view traveling the length of the MBTA Commuter Rail Fitchburg Line through northern Massachusetts. We're looking out the left side of train 414 headed eastbound/inbound from Wachusett to North Station in Boston. Unfortunately we're looking through scratched/dirty glass so the view is a bit murky. Still a lovely journey; I recommend it! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fitchburg_Line Taken Sunday, October 18, 2023, with a hood-mounted GoPro 10. ©2023 Quincy Morgan. A Fitchburg Line commuter train at Porter station, located just north of downtown Boston. The Fitchburg Line is part of the Boston commuter rail network, which connects many suburban communities in Massachusetts, and Parts of Rhode Island, to the Boston area. The Boston Commuter rail network is notorious for its purple branding, the color of which can be found almost all railcars, locomotives, maps, schedules, and station signs. The Boston Commuter Rail network is owned by the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) and operated by Keolis (at the time this video was taken). Seen here is an inbound train, bound for North Station. This train is operating in push mode, with the locomotive located in the rear with the engineer controlling it from the front. After departing, the...

It’s one of the most rural and least populated parts of the country. Covered in forests and mountains, filled with lakes and islands, Vermont is renowned for its scenery and splendor. It’s a land of small farms and towns, tucked into tiny valleys and along the shores of Lake Champlain, a place where covered bridges cross small creeks and rivers, and syrup is harvested from maple trees. Its history, politics, and culture stand out starkly from much of the US and it’s one of just a few states to have been an independent country before joining the union. Is everyone in Vermont an old hippie? Do they put syrup on everything here? And are ALL the young people leaving this state? We’ll answer those questions and a whole lot more. So grab a Creemee and hop in the Subaru. We’re gonna unbox the state of Vermont. Aww Vermont. Or should I say Vermawn. Cause that’s how they say it there. It’s a very small state in both size and in population. A very rural place which is mostly trees, farmland, cows and old white people. It’s a state that’s not understood very well, because not many people have actually been to Vermont. Or know anyone from Vermont. Or have ever seen an actual image from Vermont. It does exist. It’s part of New England. A state rich in history, Vermonters sort of have their own culture and way of life that’s kinda unique. If you’...
