Although the words Gare Union have been placed above the building's main entrance, the building has never been known by this name and never served as a union station.
Grand Trunk became part of Canadian National Railway (CNR) in 1923. Plans to bring the M&SC trains closer to the CNR's Bonaventure Station mainline terminal never materialized. However, a convenient transfer with the Montreal Tramways 29-Outremont streetcar line was available at McGill Street.
Union Station is a major railroad station that opened in 1925 in Chicago, replacing an earlier station built in 1881. It is now the only intercity rail terminal in Chicago, as well as being the city's primary terminal for commuter trains. The station stands on the west side of the Chicago River between West Adams Street and West Jackson Boulevard, just outside the Chicago Loop. Including approach and storage tracks, it is about nine and a half city blocks in size. Its facilities are mostly underground, buried beneath streets and skyscrapers.

North Union Station (1893-1927) or North Station in Boston, Massachusetts, was a train station consisting of three adjoined buildings. It was located on Causeway Street in the West End, and included Lowell Station (built 1878), a central building designed by the architecture firm of Shepley, Rutan and Coolidge (1893), and a third structure. The station was demolished in 1927, when North Station and the Boston Garden were built.
In 1907, a travel guidebook described: "North Union Station, on Causeway Street, between Nashua and Haverhill streets, is used by the several divisions of the Boston and Maine System. It will, therefore, be seen that all trains from Northern New England, from Canadian points, and from the West, by way of the Hoosac Tunnel, Grand Trunk or Canadian Pacific lines, and from all suburbs north, northeast and northwest of Boston arrive and depart from this station. Some idea of the capacity of the North Union Station is gained by the statement that six hundred trains depart from this station every day in the year."
Union Station was a shopping mall in Union City, Georgia, in southwest Metro Atlanta adjacent to Interstate 85. Originally "Shannon Mall", it opened in 1980 and initially thrived until the 1990s when growth in neighboring cities drew shoppers away from the mall. After new ownership and renovations in 2006, the name was changed from "Shannon Mall" to "Union Station Mall" in 2006. After many years of decline, the mall closed in November 2010, and demolition began in late October 2014 to make way for a movie studio.

The mall opened on August 7, 1980 as Shannon Mall with anchor storesSears, Rich's, and Davison's. It was renovated in 1986, 1999, and 2006. In 1987, the mall became "Shannon Southpark Mall" - but was changed back to "Shannon Mall" after its renovation in 1999 due to the fact that 38% of people in a survey claimed to still use that name. In 2006, the mall was again renamed - this time as "Union Station Mall."
In 1986, the mall was renovated by adding a new wing that Mervyn's occupied.
Montreal is a Crusader castle on the eastern side of the Arabah, perched on the side of a rocky, conical mountain, looking out over fruit trees below. The ruins, called Shoubak or Shawbak in Arabic, are located in modern town of Shoubak in Jordan.
History
The castle was built in 1115 by Baldwin I of Jerusalem during his expedition to the area where he captured Aqaba on the Red Sea in 1116. Originally called 'Krak de Montreal' or 'Mons Regalis', it was named in honour of the king's own contribution to its construction (Mont Royal). It was strategically located on a hill on the plain of Edom, along the pilgrimage and caravan routes from Syria to Arabia. This allowed Baldwin to control the commerce of the area, as pilgrims and merchants needed permission to travel past it. It was surrounded by relatively fertile land, and two cisterns were carved into the hill, with a long, steep staircase leading to springs within the hill itself.
The region is the second-smallest (499.19km², or 192.74 sq mi) and most populous (1,854,442 at 2006 census) of Quebec's seventeen administrative regions.
Montreal Agglomeration Council
It consists of the 2002–2005 territory of the city of Montreal, and is coextensive with the Urban Agglomeration of Montreal (French: Agglomération de Montréal). Following merger of all the municipalities of the agglomeration into one on January 1, 2002, sixteen of its municipalities were reconstituted on January 1, 2006. The urban agglomeration is governed by the Montreal Agglomeration Council (French: Conseil d'agglomération de Montréal).
There have been a number of organizations with this name, including one formed in 1897, which lasted ten years, and another formed in 1930, which lasted eleven. The current ensemble, however, traces its roots back to 1934; Wilfrid Pelletier formed an ensemble called Les Concerts Symphoniques which gave its first concert January 14, 1935, under conductor Rosario Bourdon. The Orchestra acquired its current name in 1954. In the early 1960s, as the Orchestra was preparing to move to new facilities at Place des Arts, patron and prominent Montreal philanthropist, John Wilson McConnell, purchased the 1727 Laub-Petschnikoff Stradivarius violin for Calvin Sieb, the Symphony's concertmaster.
Though it began touring and recording modestly in the 1960s and early 1970s under the batons of a young Zubin Mehta and Franz-Paul Decker, the OSM became a household name under the directorship of Charles Dutoit, who became music director in 1977 after the brief tenure and jolting departure of Rafael Fruhbeck de Burgos. Dutoit struck a friendship with a producer at London/Decca records named Ray Minshull, and a twenty-year collaboration was born. Throughout much of the 1980s and 1990s, Dutoit and the OSM released many well-received recordings and embarked on tours of North America, Europe, Asia, and South America. Most notable among this vast discography are the recordings of the French repertoire, especially the music of Maurice Ravel.
