U.S. Route 50 in California
In the U.S. state of California, U.S. Route 50 (US 50) runs east from I-80 in West Sacramento to the Nevada state line in South Lake Tahoe. Portions within Sacramento are known as the Capital City Freeway and El Dorado Freeway. The western half of the highway in California, from I-80 through Sacramento and Placerville to Exit 60 in Pollock Pines is a four-or-more-lane divided highway, mostly built to freeway standards. US 50 continues as an undivided highway with one eastbound lane and two westbound lanes until it reaches the canyon of the South Fork American River at Riverton. The remainder of the highway, which climbs along and out of the canyon, then over the Sierra Nevada at Echo Summit and into the Lake Tahoe Basin, is a mainly two-lane road.
The US 50 corridor is a historic one, used by many 49ers who came to California during the Gold Rush as well as the Pony Express. In 1895, part of the present-day route was designated as California's first state highway, and it was later considered as a scenic alternate of the Lincoln Highway. Much of US 50 was constructed during the initial construction of the California state highway system. During the second half of the twentieth century, US 50 was gradually designated and converted into a modern highway.

U.S. Route 50 in Maryland
U.S. Route 50 (US 50) is a major east–west route of the U.S. Highway system, stretching just over 3,000 miles (4,800 km) from Ocean City, Maryland on the Atlantic Ocean to West Sacramento, California. In the U.S. state of Maryland, US 50 exists in two sections. The longer of these serves as a major route connecting Washington, D.C. with Ocean City; the latter is the eastern terminus of the highway. The other section passes through the southern end of Garrett County for less than 10 miles (16 km) as part of the Northwestern Turnpike, entering West Virginia at both ends. One notable section of US 50 is the dual-span Chesapeake Bay Bridge across the Chesapeake Bay, which links central Maryland with the Eastern Shore region, allowing motorists to reach Ocean City and the Delaware Beaches.
US 50 has received numerous upgrades during its existence in Maryland, including the building of the John Hanson Highway (which is also the unsigned Interstate 595), its extension onto the Eastern Shore and replacement of U.S. Route 213 due to the construction of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge, and the full dualization of the eastern segment of the route. Many of the older alignments of US 50 are still part of the Maryland and US highway systems, such as U.S. Route 50 Business in Salisbury, Maryland. US 50 continues to be upgraded on the Eastern Shore to better accommodate beach travelers and locals alike.

U.S. Route 69
U.S. Route 69 is a north–south United States highway. When it was first created, it was only 150 miles (241 km) long, but it has since been expanded into a Minnesota to Texas cross-country route. The highway's southern terminus (as well as those of US 287 and US 96) is in Port Arthur, Texas at an intersection with State Highway 87. Its northern terminus is in Albert Lea, Minnesota at Minnesota State Highway 13.

US 69 begins at its southern terminus with SH 87 in Port Arthur. This intersection is also the southern terminus for US 96 and US 287, which are concurrent with US 69. US 69, US 96, and US 287 continue in a northwest, then west, route until its intersection with Interstate 10 in southern Beaumont. At this intersection, US 69, US 96, and US 287 merge with I-10. I-10/US 69/US 96/US 287 continue in a northerly direction through Beaumont for several miles. Just after the intersection with US 90, I-10 splits from the multiplex and resumes its easterly course, leaving US 69, US 96, and US 287 heading northwest through Beaumont. US 69 north of I-10 is also known officially known as Eastex Freeway, and is an official evacuation route, just as Interstate 69/US 59 heading north from Houston is known as Eastex Freeway as well.

U.S. Route 66
U.S. Route 66 (US 66 or Route 66), also known as the Will Rogers Highway and colloquially known as the Main Street of America or the Mother Road, was one of the original highways within the U.S. Highway System. Route 66 was established on November 11, 1926, with road signs erected the following year. The highway, which became one of the most famous roads in America, originally ran from Chicago, Illinois, through Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona before ending at Santa Monica, California, covering a total of 2,448 miles (3,940 km). It was recognized in popular culture by both the hit song "(Get Your Kicks on) Route 66" and the Route 66 television show in the 1960s.
Route 66 served as a major path for those who migrated west, especially during the Dust Bowl of the 1930s, and it supported the economies of the communities through which the road passed. People doing business along the route became prosperous due to the growing popularity of the highway, and those same people later fought to keep the highway alive in the face of the growing threat of being bypassed by the new Interstate Highway System.

Wisconsin Highway 110
State Trunk Highway 110 (often called Highway 110, STH 110 or WIS 110) is a state highway in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. It runs north–south in central Wisconsin from Fremont to Marion. Its southern terminus is at U.S. Highway 10 and WIS-96 southeast of Fremont. Its northern terminus is at U.S. Highway 45 in Marion.
Route description
The highway begins at an intersection with US 10 and WIS-96 southeast of Fremont. It heads north from US 10 for about half a mile before turning westward. It passes through Fremont and heads to the northwest before turning to the south toward US 10 and WIS-49.
The highway then runs concurrently to the north with US 10 and WIS-49 for about 5 miles (8.0 km). It then splits off and heads northward into Weyauwega. After it leaves the city, the highway continues to the northwest, where it will meet with WIS-22 and WIS-54. It runs concurrently to the north along both highways before WIS-54 splits off. WIS-110 and WIS-54 continue concurrently northward, passing through Manawa. North of Manawa, the highways split and WIS-110 continues to the north. Further along, it enters Marion, where it terminates at US 45.

U.S. Route 50 in Missouri
U.S. Route 50 (US 50) is a major east–west route in the state of Missouri.
Route description
US 50 enters Missouri from Kansas along Interstate 435 around Kansas City and then it runs concurrently with Interstate 470 to Lee's Summit. It then runs as an expressway to Sedalia before becoming Broadway Boulevard and intersecting with U.S. Route 65 (Limit Avenue). From Sedalia to California, US 50 becomes a 2-lane undivided road, where it has a concurrency with Highway 5 from Syracuse to Tipton between Morgan and Moniteau Counties. It then resumes as an expressway from California to Jefferson City. It has a 15-mile-long concurrency with US 63 for 12 miles (19 km) from Jefferson City. From just west of Linn to Union, the road is 2 lanes. After passing through Linn as Main Street, it shares short concurrencies with Highways 89 and 19 between Osage and Gasconade Counties and intersects with Highway 47 in Union. After going through this city, U.S. 50 is routed along Interstate 44 up to Sunset Hills and then it heads east and merges with U.S. Routes 61 and 67. These three concurrent U.S. routes stay this way until after the interchange with Interstate 55. Then U.S. Highways 61 and 67 split off, leaving U.S. 50 to merge with Interstate 255 to cross the Mississippi River on the Jefferson Barracks Bridge in St. Louis.

Within the District, US 50 immediately exits the freeway onto Constitution Avenue along the north side of the National Mall and south of the White House. After turning north on 6th Street Northwest, it exits the city to the northeast on New York Avenue. Upon crossing into Maryland, it passes the south end of the Baltimore-Washington Parkway and becomes the John Hanson Highway, a freeway to Annapolis. The portion of this highway east of the Capital Beltway (I-95/I-495) is also designated, but not signed as, Interstate 595, and U.S. Route 301 joins from the south at Bowie. The freeway continues beyond Annapolis as the Blue Star Memorial Highway which crosses the Chesapeake Bay on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge and continues to Queenstown. There the Blue Star Memorial Highway continues northeast as US 301, while US 50 turns south, passing through Easton to Cambridge, and then east through Salisbury to Ocean City on the four-lane divided Ocean Gateway. US 50 ends near the Atlantic Ocean shore at Baltimore Avenue (Maryland Route 378 northbound); its westbound beginning is one block to the west, at Philadelphia Avenue (Maryland Route 528 southbound).

US 50 continues east along Ocean Gateway, a four-lane, at-grade divided highway with a wide median, and passes to the north of Arthur W. Perdue Stadium, the home ballpark of the Delmarva Shorebirds baseball team. The route intersects Hobbs Road and heads through commercial areas, with the John Deere Drive (MD 992A) frontage road parallel to the south. The road runs through woods and crosses Beaverdam Creek before heading near more commercial development, passing to the north of Wor–Wic Community College past the Walston Switch Road intersection. US 50 traverses forests before running through a mix of farmland and woodland, reaching an intersection with Parsonsburg Road, which leads north to Parsonsburg, and Eastside Road (MD 992B). The route continues east through more rural land and comes to a junction with the southern terminus of MD 353, which heads north into Pittsville. The road runs through farmland with some woods, with MD 346 parallel a distance to the north. US 50 reaches an intersection with MD 354, which heads north into Willards. From here, the route continues into wooded areas and crosses the Pocomoke River.
After passing over the Pocomoke River, US 50 enters Worcester County and runs through more wooded areas before coming to an intersection with MD 610, which heads north to Whaleyville. Following this, the road curves to the southeast and passes through a mix of farmland and woodland. The route comes to an eastbound exit and westbound entrance with the western terminus of MD 90, a two-lane expressway that provides access to the northern part of Ocean City. From here, US 50 continues through rural land and heads into open agricultural areas as it reaches a junction with MD 346. Past this junction, MD 346 runs closely parallel to the southwest of the route until the intersection with Caleb Road (MD 992F), where MD 346 curves to the south-southeast toward Berlin. US 50 runs through a mix of farmland and woodland as it passes to the north of Berlin. The road comes to an intersection with MD 818, which provides access to Berlin. A short distance later, US 50 comes to a grade crossing with the Maryland and Delaware Railroad's Snow Hill Line as it reaches a cloverleaf interchange with US 113, with the ramps from eastbound US 50 to southbound US 113 and from southbound US 113 to westbound US 50 also crossing the railroad tracks at-grade.
Following the US 113 interchange, US 50 runs through woods before it heads between farmland to the north and businesses to the south as it intersects the eastern terminus of MD 346. At this point, the median narrows and the road bends to the east-northeast. The route runs through more agricultural areas with some businesses and passes north of Stephen Decatur High School as it comes to a junction with the southern terminus of MD 452. US 50 runs through a mix of farms and woods with some commercial development, becoming closely parallel with MD 707 to the north before that route heads further to the north. The road curves to the east-southeast and MD 707 comes closely parallel again before it intersects the southern terminus of MD 589, which heads north to provide access to the Ocean Downs casino and harness racetrack and Ocean Pines, at Grays Corner. The route passes between a shopping center to the southwest and MD 707 and a golf course to the northeast, with MD 707 ending near the intersection with Riddle Lane (US 50WA). US 50 continues east along Ocean Gateway, a four-lane, at-grade divided highway with a wide median, and passes to the north of Arthur W. Perdue Stadium, the home ballpark of the Delmarva Shorebirds baseball team. The route intersects Hobbs Road and heads through commercial areas, with the John Deere Drive (MD 992A) frontage road parallel to the south. The road runs through woods and crosses Beaverdam Creek before heading near more commercial development, passing to the north of Wor–Wic Community College past the Walston Switch Road intersection. US 50 traverses forests before running through a mix of farmland and woodland, reaching an intersection with Parsonsburg Road, which leads north to Parsonsburg, and Eastside Road (MD 992B). The route continues east through more rural land and comes to a junction with the southern terminus of MD 353, which heads north into Pittsville. The road runs through farmland with some woods, with MD 346 parallel a distance to the north. US 50 reaches an intersection with MD 354, which heads north into Willards. From here, the route continues into wooded areas and crosses the Pocomoke River.
After passing over the Pocomoke River, US 50 enters Worcester County and runs through more wooded areas before coming to an intersection with MD 610, which heads north to Whaleyville. Following this, the road curves to the southeast and passes through a mix of farmland and woodland. The route comes to an eastbound exit and westbound entrance with the western terminus of MD 90, a two-lane expressway that provides access to the northern part of Ocean City. From here, US 50 continues through rural land and heads into open agricultural areas as it reaches a junction with MD 346. Past this junction, MD 346 runs closely parallel to the southwest of the route until the intersection with Caleb Road (MD 992F), where MD 346 curves to the south-southeast toward Berlin. US 50 runs through a mix of farmland and woodland as it passes to the north of Berlin. The road comes to an intersection with MD 818, which provides access to Berlin. A short distance later, US 50 comes to a grade crossing with the Maryland and Delaware Railroad's Snow Hill Line as it reaches a cloverleaf interchange with US 113, with the ramps from eastbound US 50 to southbound US 113 and from southbound US 113 to westbound US 50 also crossing the railroad tracks at-grade.
Following the US 113 interchange, US 50 runs through woods before it heads between farmland to the north and businesses to the south as it intersects the eastern terminus of MD 346. At this point, the median narrows and the road bends to the east-northeast. The route runs through more agricultural areas with some businesses and passes north of Stephen Decatur High School as it comes to a junction with the southern terminus of MD 452. US 50 runs through a mix of farms and woods with some commercial development, becoming closely parallel with MD 707 to the north before that route heads further to the north. The road curves to the east-southeast and MD 707 comes closely parallel again before it intersects the southern terminus of MD 589, which heads north to provide access to the Ocean Downs casino and harness racetrack and Ocean Pines, at Grays Corner. The route passes between a shopping center to the southwest and MD 707 and a golf course to the northeast, with MD 707 ending near the intersection with Riddle Lane (US 50WA). US 50 heads through a mix of woodland and businesses, curving to the east and then the east-northeast as another section of MD 707 is located a short distance to the north, with US 50WB and US 50WC heading north to connect to MD 707. The road runs through wooded areas of residential and commercial development before coming to a bridge over Herring Creek.

Within the District, US 50 immediately exits the freeway onto Constitution Avenue along the north side of the National Mall and south of the White House. After turning north on 6th Street Northwest, it exits the city to the northeast on New York Avenue. Upon crossing into Maryland, it passes the south end of the Baltimore-Washington Parkway and becomes the John Hanson Highway, a freeway to Annapolis. The portion of this highway east of the Capital Beltway (I-95/I-495) is also designated, but not signed as, Interstate 595, and U.S. Route 301 joins from the south at Bowie. The freeway continues beyond Annapolis as the Blue Star Memorial Highway which crosses the Chesapeake Bay on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge and continues to Queenstown. There the Blue Star Memorial Highway continues northeast as US 301, while US 50 turns south, passing through Easton to Cambridge, and then east through Salisbury to Ocean City on the four-lane divided Ocean Gateway. US 50 ends near the Atlantic Ocean shore at Baltimore Avenue (Maryland Route 378 northbound); its westbound beginning is one block to the west, at Philadelphia Avenue (Maryland Route 528 southbound).

US 50 continues east along Ocean Gateway, a four-lane, at-grade divided highway with a wide median, and passes to the north of Arthur W. Perdue Stadium, the home ballpark of the Delmarva Shorebirds baseball team. The route intersects Hobbs Road and heads through commercial areas, with the John Deere Drive (MD 992A) frontage road parallel to the south. The road runs through woods and crosses Beaverdam Creek before heading near more commercial development, passing to the north of Wor–Wic Community College past the Walston Switch Road intersection. US 50 traverses forests before running through a mix of farmland and woodland, reaching an intersection with Parsonsburg Road, which leads north to Parsonsburg, and Eastside Road (MD 992B). The route continues east through more rural land and comes to a junction with the southern terminus of MD 353, which heads north into Pittsville. The road runs through farmland with some woods, with MD 346 parallel a distance to the north. US 50 reaches an intersection with MD 354, which heads north into Willards. From here, the route continues into wooded areas and crosses the Pocomoke River.
After passing over the Pocomoke River, US 50 enters Worcester County and runs through more wooded areas before coming to an intersection with MD 610, which heads north to Whaleyville. Following this, the road curves to the southeast and passes through a mix of farmland and woodland. The route comes to an eastbound exit and westbound entrance with the western terminus of MD 90, a two-lane expressway that provides access to the northern part of Ocean City. From here, US 50 continues through rural land and heads into open agricultural areas as it reaches a junction with MD 346. Past this junction, MD 346 runs closely parallel to the southwest of the route until the intersection with Caleb Road (MD 992F), where MD 346 curves to the south-southeast toward Berlin. US 50 runs through a mix of farmland and woodland as it passes to the north of Berlin. The road comes to an intersection with MD 818, which provides access to Berlin. A short distance later, US 50 comes to a grade crossing with the Maryland and Delaware Railroad's Snow Hill Line as it reaches a cloverleaf interchange with US 113, with the ramps from eastbound US 50 to southbound US 113 and from southbound US 113 to westbound US 50 also crossing the railroad tracks at-grade.
Following the US 113 interchange, US 50 runs through woods before it heads between farmland to the north and businesses to the south as it intersects the eastern terminus of MD 346. At this point, the median narrows and the road bends to the east-northeast. The route runs through more agricultural areas with some businesses and passes north of Stephen Decatur High School as it comes to a junction with the southern terminus of MD 452. US 50 runs through a mix of farms and woods with some commercial development, becoming closely parallel with MD 707 to the north before that route heads further to the north. The road curves to the east-southeast and MD 707 comes closely parallel again before it intersects the southern terminus of MD 589, which heads north to provide access to the Ocean Downs casino and harness racetrack and Ocean Pines, at Grays Corner. The route passes between a shopping center to the southwest and MD 707 and a golf course to the northeast, with MD 707 ending near the intersection with Riddle Lane (US 50WA). US 50 heads through a mix of woodland and businesses, curving to the east and then the east-northeast as another section of MD 707 is located a short distance to the north, with US 50WB and US 50WC heading north to connect to MD 707. The road runs through wooded areas of residential and commercial development before coming to a bridge over Herring Creek.
