Michael Bolotin (born February 26, 1953), known professionally as Michael Bolton, is an American singer and songwriter. Bolton originally performed in the hard rock and heavy metal genres from the mid-1970s to the mid-1980s, both on his early solo albums and those he recorded as the frontman of the band Blackjack. He became better known for his series of pop rock ballads, recorded after a stylistic change in the late 1980s.
Bolton's achievements include selling more than 75 million records, recording eight top 10 albums and two number-one singles on the Billboard charts, as well as winning multiple American Music Awards and Grammy Awards.
Bolton was born Michael Bolotin in New Haven, Connecticut, the son of Helen (née Gubin) (1919-2015) and George Bolotin (1912-1981). He has a brother, Orrin, and a sister, Sandra, both older. His family was Jewish, and all of his grandparents had been immigrants from Russia. His parents were divorced when he was very young.
Michael Bolton is the third studio album by American recording artist Michael Bolton. It was Bolton's first record to be released, in 1983, on Columbia Records. This was also the first time that Bolton recorded under his stage name; his previous releases, Michael Bolotin and Everyday of My Life, had been released under his given name, Michael Bolotin.
It features then future Kiss guitarist Bruce Kulick on lead guitar, rotating with Bolton himself. Future Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Savatage and Megadeth guitarist, Al Pitrelli replaced Kulick on the tour supporting the single, "Fool's Game", though the tour was cancelled after four shows.
The Rolling Stone Album Guide said the album was "better balanced and more pop-savvy [than the rest of Bolton's first four albums], but falters when he attempts an over-burdened rendition of The Supremes' 'Back in My Arms Again'."
Allmusic gave the album a generally negative retrospective review, saying that it was dominated by arena rock cliches, but acknowledged that "Bolton was an undeniably involving singer, and songs like 'Fools Game,' the lead-off track and chart single, were satisfying pop efforts".
"Summer Wind" is a 1965 song, originally released in Germany as "Der Sommerwind" and written by Heinz Meier and German language lyrics by Hans Bradtke. Johnny Mercer re-wrote the song into English along the same themes as the original, which talked of the changing of the seasons using the Southern European sirocco wind as a metaphor. In America, it was first recorded by Wayne Newton and subsequently by Bobby Vinton and Perry Como.
The song is best known for a 1966 recording by Frank Sinatra which peaked at number 25 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and number one on the Easy Listening chart. The Sinatra version originally appeared on his album, Strangers in the Night. A variety of singers and bands have covered the song since, including Shirley Bassey, Fun Lovin' Criminals, Michael Bublé and James Dean Bradfield. Both Barry Manilow and Westlife have included the song on their albums of Sinatra covers.
"Die Sommerwind" was a song composed in 1965 by Heinz Meier, with German language lyrics written by Hans Bradtke. The song was changed to English by Johnny Mercer, who had heard the song being sung by Danish singer Grethe Ingmann. He wrote replacement lyrics along the same theme. The song talks of the sirocco wind which passes from North Africa into Southern Europe at the end of summer, and uses this as a metaphor for the changing of the seasons and the passing of time. It was recorded for the American market in 1965 by Wayne Newton as the title track for his album Summer Wind. At the time of his release, it was predicted to be as successful as his recording of Red Roses for a Blue Lady, which had reached tenth place on the Top 40 and the number one spot on the Easy Listening chart. However it only reached the 86th position. It was also recorded that year by both Bobby Vinton, and Perry Como. Como's version was recorded in Nashville in 1965 and was one of only seven tracks he worked on with Anita Kerr and her singers.
'Summer Wind' is a song written by Chris Hillman and Steve Hill, and recorded by US country rock group The Desert Rose Band. It was released in July 1988 as the first single from the album Running. The song reached number 2 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart.
In Canada, the single rose to at least number 12, although the chart archive currently does not continue beyond this point.

Bolton (i/ˈbɒltən/ or locally [ˈbɜʏtn̩]) is a town in Greater Manchester in North West England. A former mill town, Bolton has been a production centre for textiles since Flemish weavers settled in the area in the 14th century, introducing a wool and cotton-weaving tradition. The urbanisation and development of the town largely coincided with the introduction of textile manufacture during the Industrial Revolution. Bolton was a 19th-century boomtown, and at its zenith in 1929 its 216 cotton mills and 26 bleaching and dyeing works made it one of the largest and most productive centres of cotton spinning in the world. The British cotton industry declined sharply after the First World War, and by the 1980s cotton manufacture had virtually ceased in Bolton.
Close to the West Pennine Moors, Bolton is 10 miles (16 km) northwest of Manchester. It is surrounded by several smaller towns and villages that together form the Metropolitan Borough of Bolton, of which Bolton is the administrative centre. The town of Bolton has a population of 139,403, whilst the wider metropolitan borough has a population of 262,400. Historically part of Lancashire, Bolton originated as a small settlement in the moorland known as Bolton le Moors. In the English Civil War, the town was a Parliamentarian outpost in a staunchly Royalist region, and as a result was stormed by 3,000 Royalist troops led by Prince Rupert of the Rhine in 1644. In what became known as the Bolton Massacre, 1,600 residents were killed and 700 were taken prisoner.
Bolton is a surname. Notable people with the surname include:
Bolton is a small rural town in Tolland County, Connecticut, United States. It is primarily residential, with an economy made up primarily of small businesses. The high school typically has between fifty and one hundred students per class. The population is 4,986 as of the 2010 census. Bolton was incorporated in October 1720 and is governed by town meeting.
Originally part of the town of Hartford, the area was referred to as Hartford Mountains or Hanover, until incorporation in October 1720. The northern half of Bolton was set aside in 1808 to form the town of Vernon. Quarries played a significant role in the area’s developing economy and Bolton Notch became the location of the small community of Quarryville. Prior to the railroad, granite was taken by oxcart to the Connecticut River where it was the shipped to major cities on the East Coast.
On November 11, 1723, Jonathan Edwards was installed as the pastor of Bolton.
It is widely speculated that in 1781, George Washington stayed at a home in Bolton. Later that year, the French army is confirmed to have passed through the town. On Rose's Farm, Rochambeau most likely stayed the night with his troops. Archaeological evidence proves that they were in Rose's field; and possibly also across the street (because of the current modern houses there this was

Baby, show me what you feel
Come to me, show me somethin' real
I need to know, I need you completely
Closer baby closer, come on let's begin
Love is takin' over, gotta let it in
Ooh I need to feel the heart of you
Need to reach the very deepest part of you
[Chorus:]
Can I touch you there, touch you deep inside
Can I touch your heart, the way you're touchin' mine
Can I touch you there, touch you deep within
Can I touch you there, can I touch you... there
Baby tell me with your eyes, tell me every secret darlin'
Every deep desire, till you and I are makin' love completely
Closer baby closer, can't be close enough
I can't help the way I hold you
I just hunger for your love
Ooh and I need to feel the heart of you
Need to reach the very deepest part of you
[Chorus]
All I wanna do is touch ya baby
Touch the very soul inside of you
Ooh and I need to feel the heart of you
Need to reach the very deepest part of you
Let me be the one to show you just what love can do
[Chorus]
