Stephen Scott (b. Corvallis, Oregon, 1944) is an Americancomposer best known for his development of the bowed piano (borrowed from C. Curtis-Smith, who invented the technique in 1972), which involves a grand piano being played by an ensemble of ten musicians who utilize lengths of horsehair, nylon filament, and other utensils to bow the strings of the piano, creating an orchestra-like sound. Scott founded the Bowed Piano Ensemble in 1977, for which he composes. His work is associated with the minimal style of composition.
Several recordings with Scott's Bowed Piano Ensemble have been released by New Albion Records. Scott has performed and composed pieces in a thirteen limit tuning by Terry Riley.
Stephen John Scott (11 September 1955 – 16 June 1994) was a New Zealand rugby union player. A halfback, Scott represented Canterbury at a provincial level, and was a member of the New Zealand national side, the All Blacks, on the 1980 tour of Australia and Fiji. He played four matches on that tour but did not play in any internationals.
Scott Matthew Parker (born 13 October 1980) is an English professional footballer who plays for Fulham as a midfielder. He is known as a tough tackling central midfielder.
Parker began his career at Charlton Athletic, and was loaned to Norwich City, before joining Chelsea for £10 million in January 2004. He did not play regularly at Chelsea, and moved to Newcastle United the following year, where he was made captain. Parker joined West Ham United in 2007, and was the FWA Footballer of the Year for the 2010–11 season despite the club being relegated. He was then signed by Tottenham Hotspur and joined Fulham in 2013.
He has represented England at every level from under-16 to senior, making his full debut in 2003. Uniquely, he won his first four England caps while playing for four different clubs. Parker was a member of the England team which reached the quarter-finals at UEFA Euro 2012.
W. Scott Parker III is an American actor, director, and screenwriter. He has appeared in over one-hundred plays and films working with directors such as Derrick Borte, Giancarlo Esposito, and George Clooney. Most recently he played Jefferson Calvert in the theatrical production of Four Queens - No Trump under the direction of Ted Lange. In recent years, Mr. Parker has gravitated toward historical films including Capt. Philip Carteret of the HMS Harwich in the film Newton's Grace, Dr. Smith (Henry Box Brown), and Gen. George Washington (produced by North Carolina Museum of History).

The Roy Hargrove Christian Mcbride Stephen Scott Parker´s Mood
In the spirit of continuity and tradition, producers Richard Seidel and Don Sickler gathered the pick of the litter for a convocation over the still-warm remains of Charlie Parker, the most vital, visionary figure in 20th Century music. What makes PARKER'S MOOD so special, and so refreshingly different from your typical Bird blowing session, is the sense of intimacy and interchange, as trumpeter, bassist and pianist take on these complex rhythms and melodies, gathered in a circle, live to two-track, without the aid of a drummer. As a result, PARKER'S MOOD is full of surprises. Not the least of which is the recorded sound, which is resoundingly deep and full of detail, with a real sense of air and space. Much of the credit must go to McBride, whose enormous beat ("Marmaduke"), witty arco wo...

As a result, PARKER'S MOOD is full of surprises. Not the least of which is the recorded sound, which is resoundingly deep and full of detail, with a real sense of air and space. Much of the credit must go to McBride, whose enormous beat ("Marmaduke"), witty arco work ("Steeplechase") and thundering blues drive ("Red Cross"), and authentic downhome funk ("Star Eyes") are as close to an ideal acoustic bass sound as this generation of players has yet produced. The taciturn, reticent qualities which distinguish Stephen Scott's piano playing, make him and ideal partner in these proceedings. On "Laura" his serene, bell-like chords frame Hargrove's taut delivery of the melody in dreamy shades of turquoise and green, and his solo makes thoughtful use of space and dynamic contrasts to bring home the point--sweet and romantic without blubbering all over the chords. And check out his solo on "Bongo Bop"--the brother can swing. And Hargrove, always known for his chops, seems to find a new gravity in Bird's intricate melodies, from the muted joy of "Dexterity" through the dancing whimsy of "Chasin' The Bird." Recorded at Effanel Music Studio, New York, New York from April 12-14, 1995. Includes liner notes by Bret Primack and Jim Anderson. Full performer name: The Roy Hargrove/Christian McBride/Stephen Scott Trio. Personnel: Roy Hargrove (trumpet, flugelhorn); Stephen Scott (piano); Christian McBride (bass). Tributee: Charlie Parker . Crazed expeditiousness is eventually smoothed out, like a fist working a worry stone to eleviate pressure..."
