On Tuesday, June 6, 2017, Superintendent Ron Taverner updated the media on a shooting investigation.
It is alleged that:
- on Sunday, April 23, 2017, the victim and another male attended the 1800 Martin Grove Road area
- the two males arrived in a red SUV and parked in front of 1811 Martin Grove Road and engaged in conversation with several people hanging around the area
- at approximately 6:07 p.m., the victim exits the SUV and is seen speaking with the suspect
- the two men walk away from the group by themselves and continue in conversation
- the victim turns away from the suspect and is seen...

Updated Security Video Timeline of Homicide #30/2020
The Toronto Police Service would like to update the public on an ongoing homicide investigation.
On Tuesday, May 26, at 4:08 p.m., police responded to a shooting at 375 King Street West.
It is reported that:
- officers arrived on scene and located a 15-year-old boy, a 21-year-old man, and a 27-year-old woman suffering from gunshot wounds
- they were all immediately taken to hospital
- the boy and the woman sustained non-life-threatening injuries
- the 21-year-old succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased
He has been identified as Dimarjio Jenkins, 21, of Toronto. He was a Toronto rapper also known as "Houdini".
The suspects were seen fleeing the area in a newer model, 4-door, blue Volkswagen Tiguan SUV.

On Tuesday, June 6, 2017, Superintendent Ron Taverner updated the media on a shooting investigation.
It is alleged that:
- on Sunday, April 23, 2017, the victim and another male attended the 1800 Martin Grove Road area
- the two males arrived in a red SUV and parked in front of 1811 Martin Grove Road and engaged in conversation with several people hanging around the area
- at approximately 6:07 p.m., the victim exits the SUV and is seen speaking with the suspect
- the two men walk away from the group by themselves and continue in conversation
- the victim turns away from the suspect and is seen retrieving something out of a handbag
- at the same time, the suspect brandishes a firearm and both attempt to shoot each other
- the victim falls to the ground, having been shot several times in the lower body area, and the suspect flees into the complex area
- the driver of the SUV tends to the victim lying on the ground, who hands the driver what appears to be a handgun with an extended magazine
- the driver takes the handgun and places it inside the vehicle, then assists the victim back inside the SUV
- the driver and victim flee the area in an unknown direction
It is further alleged that:
- at approximately 6:25 p.m., police receive a second radio call to the underground parking lot at 345 Dixon Road, for reports of a male who has been shot
- officers arrived on scene and located a male in the underground parking lot who matches the description of the victim in the shooting at 1800 Martin Grove Road
- the victim was treated for apparent gunshot wounds and taken to hospital
The suspect is described as male, black, light complexion, 20-25, 5'8"-5'10", with a heavy build, black braided hair, and a thin beard.
It is further alleged that:
- the driver of the vehicle has been identified as Liban Hussein, 22, of Toronto
- he is wanted for several outstanding firearm-related offences
He is described as black, light complexion, 5'10", 220 lbs., with short black hair, clean-shaven.
Investigators will be seeking assistance with the identification of one suspect. Security camera footage can be viewed on YouTube.

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of two shooting incidents that have occurred in the vicinity of the Regent Park community.
The first incident took place on Wednesday, May 23, 2018, at 12:43 a.m., when it's alleged that:
- a man was standing near 184 River Street, smoking a cigarette
- he was approached by two men
- one of the men, wearing all white with a hooded garment that covered his face, held a handgun to the back of the man's head and appeared to pull the trigger on the firearm
- the firearm did not discharge
- the two men immediately turned around and walked away
- the man appears unaware of what occurred
The second incident took place on Wednesday, May 23, 2018, at 12:51 a.m., when it's alleged that:
- a 42-year-old man was standing near the entrance of a variety store near 175 River Street
- two men walked past him
- the man, dressed in white, turns toward the man
- both men have firearms
- the two men pursued the man on foot into the lobby area of 220 Oak Street
- the man discharges the firearm, striking the man
- the two men then turned around and fled the area on foot
- the man was transported to hospital where he was treated for a gunshot wound and released
It is believed the same two men are responsible for both incidents.
